My curiosity got a better hold of me, I picked up one of the books, only to find out she was writing a novel which she titled Pregnant for the bully.

’ as she dove in for another search. Taking the book, he realised it was a thinnish volume, in mint condition, and had Diamanda’s own picture on the back. Good God, it was her latest novel! One he hadn’t read but was dying to. It wasn’t even due out till next month. He studied the title - Watching Me, Watching You - then carefully flipped it open.

I had my shower, got dressed and took out my best novel. ‘Finding Damon’ It was a high school romance novel about supernaturals who fell in love but their differences set them on a path of deadly choices. I was down ten pages when dinner came in, It was a lady dressed in blue and white who brought the tray to my door. She looked so familiar, like one of my highschool seniors then, “Thank you,” I said, taking the tray from her. I munched down the food, finished it in less than five minutes and placed the tray back on the counter. When I went back to bed, the soft wind of the night blew over my face, sending me into a deep sleep unexpectedly.

When I entered, the room was empty, and my heart hammered against my ribs, until I heard the water running in the bathroom. When I stepped inside, my breath caught in my throat. It was Novel. She looked lifeless, submerged beneath the water. Fear gripped me as I hauled her out. “Novel!” I barked. She opened her eyes, but they looked hollow, lifeless.
