I wanted to swim in the water but I hesitated. Nero held me when I got off the jet ski. He held my hand and threaded his fingers with mine which I immediately yanked away. He looked at me questioningly. “Others are looking.” I said awkwardly before walking first. God, what am I feeling?

The captain glanced nervously toward the river. “Three fishermen disappeared this week.” Master Orion frowned. “Were their boats found?” “They drifted back this morning.” “And the fishermen?” The captain slowly shook his head. “They simply vanished.” Nyx’s expression became serious. “Show me the boats.” Within minutes, they stood along the riverbank. Three small fishing boats floated quietly against the wooden dock. At first glance, nothing appeared unusual. Then Nyx stepped aboard the nearest vessel. She knelt and gently placed her fingertips against the damp wooden floor.

Millicent shouted from inside the movie theater “I chose the movie!” “Come on. Let’s spend a good and peaceful night with our babies.” Alice laughed softly, finally managing to free herself from his arms and guide her chair to the room at the end of the hall, where Millicent suddenly appeared, with the remote control in her hands. “I chose Finding Nemo!” she announced, following Massimo and Alice all the way to the huge padded armchairs in front of the gigantic screen “It’s about a papa fish and his baby son! Oh, mommy, can we name the baby Nemo? It’s a beautiful name!” she suggested, bouncing around until she managed to climb onto Massimo's armchair, after Alice had helped him sit there.

He gathered them all up, and they rushed to the sanctuary, and for fifteen minutes, Aiden was thoroughly captivated by Flipper, the dolphin, and his handler. They moved on to the aquarium next, where they spent the bulk of their outing. "Mom," Aiden was in his element. He pointed at the shoal of bright fish in the tank. "Nemo!" "Yeah, baby, that's a clownfish," Eden kissed his cheek. "Good job, Aid!" "Who's Nemo?" Liam asked as he snatched her water bottle and took a long gulp. "Are you serious?" She gawked at him, thinking he's messing with her. But he looked as blank as a clean sheet of paper. "You don't know Nemo?"

At first, he started to pull away but I held him firm, looking up at him to tell him I wanted his hand there. I saw Joshua look over at Nate and clench his jaw when he saw Nate’s hands on my legs, but he didn’t say anything. Bright blue water fills the room, sunlight cutting through it in shifting patterns as Nemo darts nervously between coral, his small voice carrying through the speakers while Marlin hovers close, cautious and overprotective in a way that feels… familiar.
