The price was literally my salary per month. The entrance door creaked open and CeCe dragged her feet inside, looking so tired, worn out and pale. She had sleep bag and dark circles under her eyes with smeared mascara, making her look more like a ghost than a human. “ You're back.” I smiled and motioned for her to come seat closer to me. “ Thank you so much for helping me. She takes my hand in her frail wrinkled one and rubs the centre of my palm with her thumb, her eyes searching mine. “Thank you for making Damien happier.” She says softly.
