She grabbed a pillow and the duvet, avoiding my eyes.
“Marc, please. I’m sorry for everything. Let’s go back to how we were before,” I begged, moving closer again.
“Stop, Philip,” she raised her hand, stopping me. “It’s already late.”
“It’s not late, Marc,” I said, desperate.
“Philip, stop,” she said firmly. “I don’t know what’s gotten into you tonight, but just leave me alone,”
