I must hold the truth myself.” Alexander looked at her for a long moment, then kissed her hand gently. “Then we will carry it together.” Outside, the wind rose, rattling the windows with the sound of branches clawing against glass. Evelyn stood at the balcony, looking over the city lights. Somewhere across the continent, Claudia Moreau was gathering fragments of the past and sharpening them into a blade. Evelyn whispered to herself, “Let her build it. We will be ready when she draws it.”

At any cost. Rose swallowed hard, seeing the unshed tears in his eyes. A madness in that gaze, fear of losing her. She cupped his face and held her gaze. “You are a flame of sin, Vladimir, Who burns everything around him. Alex stopped teasing me in front of Belle. After reaching home, we had dinner and watched a Christmas movie. Alex kept stealing glances at me which I caught from my peripheral view.

Thorne's blade sang as he drew it from its sheath, the metal catching the light in a dazzling display. With graceful agility, he parried the first attacker's blow, sending the man reeling backward. Sword to sword, Thorne held his own against the onslaught. His movements were fluid and precise, each strike calculated to disable without taking a life. The clatter of metal rang through the night, a deadly dance of blades and shadows.

Adonis Arnold also couldn't help but be curious. Indeed, he was extremely passionate about weapons. "Okay! Don't let people down! Open up!" Long Chen didn’t hesitate, vanishing from his spot and immediately slashing at Mo Huo with his massive sword. "Mo Huo!" shouted the man trying to stop Long Chen from attacking Mo Huo.

Before Kaelen could even draw breath, a massive, rugged blur slammed into him. Devon’s gray-green eyes flashed a feral, monstrous silver. He had the Gamma pinned against the stone wall, his broad, scarred hands wrapping around Kaelen's throat. The sound of Kaelen's windpipe straining echoed through the room. "Are you suggesting they slaughter my sister to protect their precious throne?" Devon snarled, his wolf, Fenrir, roaring just beneath his skin. The raw aura he usually suppressed leaked out, heavy enough to make the Gamma's knees buckle.

He took another slow drag from his cigarette before exhaling, the smoke curling lazily in the dimly lit gym. “Not all flames die out quickly, son,” he mused, tapping the ash off his cigarette. “Some need a slow, controlled burn before they truly turn to ash.” I clenched my jaw. “I don’t have the patience for slow.” He hummed in amusement, his sharp eyes watching me like he already knew how this would end. “Then make her burn the way you want. But be careful not to get burned yourself.” I let out a dry chuckle, rolling my shoulders to shake off the irritation settling in my bones.

When they finally crawled ashore, Owen looked at me pitifully and asked if I remembered anything. When I shook my head, disappointment filled his eyes. Still, he said, "It's okay. I'll keep trying to help you remember." He brought me roses every day, saying that they were my favorite flowers. But I didn't care. The sight of that bright red color only made me feel disgusted. He also brought me an embroidered wedding dress, saying that it was a gift from my mentor. Apparently, I had worn it for him once before, and he had been completely captivated.
