she said as soon as I entered the door.
"I genuinely forgot." I smiled awkwardly, avoiding eye contact. "I texted you this morning."
"This morning." She said it flat, unimpressed. "You disappeared for an entire night, Lav. Your first entire night, and I found out you were fine because you sent me a thumbs up at nine a.m."
"I'm sorry." I sat down across from her, and at that, some of the fight drained out of her shoulders. "I didn't mean to make you stress."
