Tastes Like Damn Chocolate
Lyn sat at the table, legs crossed, scrolling through emails on her phone while Pascal perched on his seat, swinging his legs and narrating his breakfast like it was a live broadcast.
“This banana is shaped like a smiley face!” Pascal announced, holding up a curved slice. “See? It’s happy because it gets to be in my tummy.”
Tiana smiled despite the heaviness lingering in her chest. “It’s a very happy banana,” she agreed, sliding the plate in front of him. “Eat up, star. You’ve got a spelling test today.”
Lyn looked up, smirking. “You’re going to crush it, little man. I can feel the victory from here.”
