Married at First Sight

Married at First Sight

The books and reference materials were separated by grade and labeled clearly with signs to make it easy for the students to find what they wanted. A maneki-neko was placed on the counter and a healthy bonsai tree was growing well in a vase next to the wall. There was an open novel on the counter, which was probably Jasmine’s current read. Imogen heard that Jasmine opened the bookstore with Serenity because she loved reading and could earn while indulging in her hobby. A whole bookshelf was dedicated to all sorts of novels, though it was placed in the innermost corner. This was because their shop was located opposite a school and parents did not like their kids to be distracted by novels whe

Drop-Dead in Love

Drop-Dead in Love

She didn't realize it before, but now it was hovering over her like a neon sign, making her want to do nothing but go home, mull things over, and maybe try out their new microwave oven. They got into Mrs. Lawrence's van just fine, especially since Calix was the one hauling everything into the backseat. It would've been a smooth journey from there, but as they began to cruise along the streets, something caught Kat's eye. A bookstore, but not just any bookstore. It was Silverfish, the big, library-style bookstore where she'd worked part-time back in high school.

Luna of the Menae

Luna of the Menae

There is no mate bond, but having him close makes me feel more secure. “I can’t wait for you to see this.” He rubs his thumb on the top of my hand as he leads me to a store. It’s rare Bronx gets so excited about surprising me. We approach a bookstore with a dusty, old window display. In gold paint, there is a picture of a pan flute and a goat. The images are peeling and sundried as if they’ve been there forever. Over the pictures are the words ‘The Barded Goat Used & Collectible Books’.

This story was “ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL”!! I love love loved it!! So well written & very descriptive!! The characters had such depth! My favourite characters were Bronx and Kas(Iokaste), of course!! They went through “SO” much, but made it through!!

Love this book and this author. She has found a way to write two books that seem like completely different stories but then happen to intertwine at an unexpected point. Ever chapter she posts leaves me wanting more. I can’t wait to continue reading this series!

Independence Is a Good Look On Her

Independence Is a Good Look On Her

They watched as the luxury brand stores on the first floor gradually disappeared from view, revealing the mall's expansive layout. Mindy couldn't help but marvel, "This mall is huge!" The clothing stores were on the second and third floors, but they missed the right stop and ended up on the fourth floor. Mindy's attention was soon caught by a book display nearby, so the family decided to get off on this level. They stood before a storefront with the sign "Luxus Emporium Rendezvous", which looked like a bookstore but wasn't quite an ordinary one. It combined a bookstore, café, and light dining space all in one. As they entered, the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, followed

My marriage was for money, his for vengeance

My marriage was for money, his for vengeance

--- 10:03 AM – Swamped Lot, South End Water still collected under the bridge, not deep but cloudy. Mud here was sticky, refusing to let go of the soles of their boots. A boy pointed at a submerged cabinet. "There were books inside. Kuya said they float." Elira squatted beside him. "Some do. Some resist." Caelan delivered a plastic crate. "Dry what we can. Stories get second chances as well." Half the books were salvaged by noon—wrinkled from water but in one piece. Volunteers giggled over damp covers, coming up with new titles. The Mysterious Case of the Mushy Notebook.

Taming My Five Alpha Baby Daddies

Taming My Five Alpha Baby Daddies

She looked like a curious little kitten. I rolled her stroller further inside, letting my eyes roam over the spines of books, some of which looked ancient. Even the covers looked antique. It reminded me of the antique bookstore front that was the entrance to River’s Club. As I neared the edge of the long table, I spotted someone slouched over, fast asleep. It was River.

My Billion Dollar Marriage Proposal

My Billion Dollar Marriage Proposal

The air inside is rich with the smell of aged books, coffee, and cookie scented candles. “Hi, what exactly is this place? Is it a bookshop or library of some sort?” I asked the receptionist and she flashed me a warm smile. “Welcome to the Fiction Nook, ma'am. We like to call this place our sanctuary for imagination because it is a gem for book lovers which contains well-loved novels and rare first editions. Please come with me. I will give you a tour of the place.” She informed me and walked slowly in front of me.

The Billionaire Heiress Baby

The Billionaire Heiress Baby

Fiona couldn’t help herself and purchased fragrant candles and soaps in one store, and creative knickknacks and postcards from the quaint Cold Creek General Store. Chris was attentive and carried her packages without protest. When they came upon a charming family-owned bookstore, Chris ushered her inside to take a look around while he went to the post office down the street to pick up his mail and say hello to a few old-timers that still worked there. Fiona waved Chris off as she entered the store. The interior held rows and rows of books in every size, shape, color, and genre. The sweet musky

He raised his eyebrows and moved his lips in what could probably be termed as a smile. "From where did you get it?" he asked, extending his wrinkled hands towards the apple. "Oh, you don't want to know. Let's get started. Which books do you want me to sort today?" "You are not half bad, Shiva. Walk on the straight path, and you will still be able to make something of yourself,” said the old man looking at the boy right in the eyes. Shiva turned away from his gaze, and Ben continued, “Sort out the romantic novels and keep them on this shelf here." He proceeded to explain where all genres had to be placed. The store would open in a few days, the first bookstore in this part of town, albeit of

HER PERFECT RUIN, HIS PERFECT REDEMPTION

Volxe bookstore. The store name was boldly written on a beautifully crafted wooden tag that couldn't be missed on the wall it was placed. I pushed the glass doors open and let myself into the cosy bookstore, the smell of books, leather and the various perfumes of the customers lingered in the air. The giddiness and thrill of checking the books out surged through me like clashes of sparks that engulfed me and made me feel like I was floating. I clutched the strap of my backpack tightly, my eyes wandering around the medium-sized space that was occupied by tall bookshelves lining up against one another and filled to the brim with different genres of books. The enjoined wooden seats and tables w
