Persephone: Leonidas' Domina

Persephone: Leonidas' Domina

Another killer, how subtle. "Apparently, that was Achilles future bride." "What?" "As soon as Gerasimus dropped dead, they crowned Achilles as new ruler and wed him to a woman named Achlys," Orion said, "I stayed long enough to try and get a glimpse of her face but she had on a sort of helmet that prevented her from being seen. All that was visible was her hair, which was short and was white as snow." Achlys. A name of the goddess that meant sorrow itself. "And the Ares Familias then? What did they do after?"

Lost to Time

Lost to Time

Adrexa inquires. "Helen left her husband King Menelaus of Sparta, whose older brother is King Agamemnon of Mycenae. Both kings will take this as an insult and an excuse to attack Troy for its riches," I inform them. "The Greeks will not attack our city," the older boy Pallus states angrily. "Our walls were built by Poseidon himself and are impenetrable. No army would dare insult the god Poseidon," Pallus says defensively. Not wanting to get into a heated debate with a pre-teen, I simply state, "You're right. I apologize for worrying you all needlessly. I'm going to walk around for a little bit."

CLOWNY MISFORTUNES

CLOWNY MISFORTUNES

That these things are so to-day, you doubtless see, and need no testimony of mine: and that in times gone by the opposite was true, I will prove to you, not by any words of my own, but by the record inscribed by your ancestors on a pillar of bronze, and placed on the Acropolis, not to be a lesson to themselves, they needed no such record to put them in a right mind, but to be a reminder and an example to you of the zeal that you ought to display in such a cause. What then is the record? "Arthmius, son of Pythonax, of Zeleia, is an outlaw, and is the enemy of the Athenian people and their allies, he and his house." Then follows the reason for which this step was taken, "because he brought the

This is an interesting book with intriguing characters and premise. The author does well to draw the audience in and make them part of the story. The narrator feels very genuine, and I began to feel for him. Very well done.

Mhenn this story is Lit?. It keeps the reader drawn to the main character. At the first chapter I was already glued to how chuka's mistakes caused misfortunes to others. This is definitely a story y'all should read.

The Destroyer

I wasn't even sure my heart was beating. "Androkles?" She asked, unsure. Then her eyes widened. Her hand withdrew from mine, and she held both hands to her chest in shock. It had all finally clicked in her mind. The same Androkles Olympians whispered about and a name she probably heard more than once since arriving in the capital, often in distaste or fear. I'm Androkles, son of Nikos, son of the previous Lord Zeus, heir to Ares, the Destroyer.

A very good read but the ending was suddenly abrupt. After not having an update for longer than normal, I came to check the comments to see if others were clamoring for updates only to see that the story status now said completed. That said, I hope to see other stories set in this world.

What a brilliant and enjoyable read. Fantastic characters, great storyline, definitely a book I could not put down and would happily keep reading if there were more chapters! Looking forward to reading a sequel very soon in the future, thank you author!

The Un-Stereotypical Life of A Prince and A Heiress

The Un-Stereotypical Life of A Prince and A Heiress

"Be careful, Ria." Cryx and I, and the others have our own codes basing on Greek and Roman Mythology. Right now, I based it on the glory of Greece, the Illiad by Homer. The Battle between the Acaeans (Greeks) and the Trojans. During their conquer of Chryse, a town allied with Troy, the Greeks captured Chryseis and Briseis. Agamemnon took Chryseis as his crowning glory while Achilles took Briseis. When Chryseis' father learned of this, he offered a magnanimous sacrifice to the god Apollo for his daughter's safe return. Agamemnon then conspired to take Briseis away from Achilles and offer her as remuneration. This will allow Cryx to decipher that there is danger nearby and they plan to take Br

Pheonix suggested and everyone turned to look at him. “Who is the Lord of the revival” Valerie asked quite confused by the name. “Well then, why don’t you all settle down and listen to this ancient tale of the lord of the revival’s adventure” Pheonix announced. “Theseus, great hero of Attic legend, son of Aegeus, king of Athens, and Aethra, daughter of Pittheus, king of Troezen in Argolis, or of the sea god, Poseidon, and Aethra. Legend relates that Aegeus, being childless, was allowed by Pittheus to have a child Theseus by Aethra. When Theseus reached manhood, Aethra sent him to Athens. On the journey he encountered many adventures. At the Isthmus of Corinth he killed Sinis, called the Pine

Mafia Men: Nikolai's Inferno

Mafia Men: Nikolai's Inferno

“My Agamemnon... You patronize me like some little woman with no mind to call her own. I speak with a heart devoid of fear to those with wit to understand, and you can praise me or condemn me as you like, it's all the same to me.” -CLYTEMNESTRA, not Helen. Ah, touché... I wanted to know, I needed to know if the rumors were true—that Moretti had my wife all this time. This package was sent by them, she fell right into my lap. She was frolicking around right under my nose all this time in Sicily. I read the note again. Agamemnon was a king who was murdered by his wife—Clytemnestra. I think it pissed her off when I called her Helen of Troy. A ghost of a smile pulled over my lips.

Or he was just playing us again. “No one still knew the answer? I’ll give you a hint, Jera Young.” “Aulus Coleman! Does the name rings a bell?” It was Achilles’ father, right? Ares walks towards Jera, a lash of anger running thru his eyes as he slowly fills the gap that’s keeping them distant. “You don’t remember?” “Or you already buried all the past in the grave of my father!” Ares growled as he cup Jera’s face. I was shocked at his sudden unexpected burst, and even Achilles tries to put his attention to them.

Asterion

Asterion

We’re onto the fourth day of this ‘festival.’ Three days, three male Athenians. I now have plenty of meat smoked and salted preserved. They will last me a while. Especially that last one, Menestheus, was a portly boy. Sitting on my bed, sharpening my ax, I listen to the crowd outside, waiting to hear the fourth name. “Welcome to the fourth day of the festival! Let the selection begin!" Minos called out as he drew today’s tribute. “Melite!" he called out, and I heard the sobbing of a girl that grew louder and echoed as she was forced into the labyrinth.

Such an interesting & sweet twist to the Minotaur's story. Loved it! Asterion was so well depicted & emotionally drawn. The ending & epilogues were just so heart touching. I was very moved by the ending. Thanks for a very lovely, moving story.

I loved this story. I started reading it twice before, then just read it all way through over the last couple of days. I really want more like this! It was such a great twist on the Minotaur Myths and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

So opted out of it and they respected his decision and did not pressure him to come. They are doing all the hard work and now he got a chance to help them in his way. He is really glad to help them. Agamemnon is also feeling bad about what happened to Lord Lucifer. So he will use all of his skills and knowledge to the best of his abilities to help them.
