She quickly flipped through the pages, her eyes widening as she encountered detailed information on various herbal remedies and ancient healing techniques. "This is exactly what I need," Elsie murmured, tucking the book securely under her arm. She couldn't help but feel a sense of triumph at her find, despite the circumstances that had led her here.

"Fine. Hand it over." We spent almost two hours eating and discussing random things in the kitchen. He almost burned the ham and an egg. Later, after breakfast, we went to the library. The rain outside makes me want to read books again and just sit on the couch. We wandered the books on the shelves, looking for where to start. "So, where do we start?" A volume dated 1465 had pages so fragile, they fluttered from the air stirred by her breath. Each book seemed to hum. Some in Latin. Some in Greek. Some in Italian so old, it might as well have been a spellbook. She paused on a slender blue-bound edition tucked between two thick encyclopedias. Its title was faded to nearly nothing, but the binding was intact. She gently pulled it free, feeling its weight—a delicate but stubborn thing. She opened it, and the scent of dust and pressed flowers met her. Inside the front page, a name had been written in looping calligraphy.

Kai walked off toward Ms Leta who was still busy reading her book, probably to speak to her about something. Clarissa didn’t follow him as she was drawn to the shelves already. She walked through the rows as her fingers brushed along the books gently. Most of the books had thick covers. “Pattern Drafting Vol 1,”Clarissa read the book titles in a low tone as her eyes wandered to find the one she wanted. “History of Fabric Dyeing, Creative Sketching 101.” She moved down the aisles, her eyes still scanning the books. Some were old while others looked rather new.

It took him an hour to figure out how it works hahaha. He soon turned the book over to check it's title. On the cover, among the pretty colorful gems and butterfly designs is a title of bold golden letters that brought a sudden shiver to his body. 🌹Ruby and Aurelius🌹

She nod her head before I walk away to scan for books. "I hope there is that book that Dawson was referring to." I murmured to myself. I do not want to believe him when he said that I can only buy that book in New York. What an expensive outlet of reference he got there, that boo-hoo. Instead of finding that big book on the hardbound section, I notice a colorful book with green as a dominant on its book cover and its title kinds of catch my attention. "Buy Yourself the Fcking Lilies?" I murmured and started opening the book pages and saw some notes which made me conclude that it is a self-help book.

The librarian, a wise old man with spectacles perched on his nose, had greeted them warmly and invited them to explore the dusty shelves filled with ancient tomes. As Scarlett's fingers grazed the spines of the books, a particular leather-bound volume caught her eye. Its title, "The Prophecy of the Shifting Stars," called to her with an inexplicable pull. She plucked it from the shelf and dusted off its cover, revealing faded golden letters etched into the leather. Curiosity burned within Scarlett. She opened the book and began to read aloud, her voice barely above a whisper. The words flowed like poetry from her lips, resonating deeply within her soul.

The hut was filled with herbs, candles and books scattered everywhere, the opposite of what it was when I came here last time. “Yes, please come this way,” She led us to the middle table where a large, old book lay open. She gestured for us to sit down and then pointed at the book. “Look at this. Do you know what this is?” We leaned over to take a close look at what she was pointing at, and it was a drawing of a flower. It was white and purple with four petals and a gold centre. It looked delicate and beautiful, but there was also something eerie about it. Just looking at it gave me goose bumps.

I have to walk halfway down the row before I finally enter the plants and animals sections. The first couple of books are on forest plants. Then, I spot a book whose title is 'Herbs'. A short title, but it perfectly suits the book. I flip through the pages to find page after page covered in writing without a single picture in sight. Wanting to cover all of my bases, I search for a book that has pictures of the herbs. Not even five books away, is a book titled 'Herbs Catalog'. Each page of this book discusses a different herb and contains a large image if what it looks like.
