He was grinning from ear to ear, his eyes bright with pride. "Mommy, happy birthday! Look, I made something for you!" He held out a crown he had crafted, woven from tiny, delicate, vibrant flowers. I stared down at it, feeling my heart clench. It was... perfect. The little stems were uneven, the petals slightly wilting, but it was precious beyond words. “Jameson, it’s beautiful. I love it so much.” I bent down and placed the crown on my head, then kissed his forehead. He giggled.
