He laughed long and hard, the sound echoing off the stone walls of the training area and filling the open space in a way that seemed almost shocking coming from someone who was usually so controlled. It went on for several seconds, his shoulders shaking slightly with it, and Lyralei just stood there watching him with growing surprise because she honestly hadn't thought he was capable of laughing like that.

Lily, in her enthusiasm to join the merriment, suddenly finds herself slipping on the freshly mopped floor, her feet losing their grip and her body descending rapidly to the ground. PYRO'S POV I peeked at Fira, I saw her passing the hallway. My back was leaning on the wall and my body was a bit twisted enough to view her. When she was finally out of my sight, I was about to move forward when… "Boo!" My expression was shocked, but I managed to expose the calm emotion. It was Zephyrus playing a fool again. He laughed out loud while holding his belly, the mouth was opened and I could see his full teeth.

Her laugh had that high-pitched, wheezy chaos to it — the kind of sound that came from the gut, like she was unhinged and delighted and fully prepared to emotionally destroy me before breakfast.

She gasped, then fought the laugh that bubbled up her throat, her lips clamped shut in a futile attempt at composure. It was hopeless. Stop, please; I will choke from laughter!" He laughed too, utterly absorbed in the sound of her joy. By the time the figure outside withdrew, a sudden chill crawled down Joya's spine. Her laughter faltered. Her head anchored toward the doorway, breath hitching as her eyes locked onto the open space beyond the room.

Riley was covering her mouth with both hands, her shoulders shaking violently as she let out high-pitched snorts of amusement. "Your face looked like a wrinkled prune, Maman!" Ricky howled, rolling around the wide mattress until his curls were a complete, messy disaster. "It wasn't that bad, Coco, stop being a drama queen," Annie wheezed from the foot of the bed, wiping a tear of laughter from the corner of her eye. "You try swallowing fluid cherry metal and see how you look," I growled playfully, though the sound of their bright, beautiful laughter was the best medicine I could have ever asked for.

I flicked Stellas leg and we both erupted in laughter. "What is so funny?" Kyle leaned forward in between our heads from the backseat. Stella looked at him, laughing harder. She bit her bottom lip when she giggled. But when she really belly laughed, she would cackle then go silent from laughing so hard that she could barely breathe. She wiped away some tears from her eyes then looked back at June, and giggled again, looking away to try and stop laughing. June yanked Kyles shoulder and his back slapped against the black leather seat. He shrugged looking back at her, still confused at the joke.
