“You didn’t know because you let your dick rule your actions! She’s your sister! You looked me in the eye and promised me that you’d die before anything happened to her!” Ryder was in front of me now, both of his hands on my neck, ready to snap it. He screamed out his anger and I just sat there, letting him do what he needed to do to get his frustrations out. I felt the first bone snap just as Milo grabbed his arm and yanked him away from me. “Let him live with it.” “Do what you want Wynter. You fucked up this plan the moment you walked into Florin’s house.”

the man said as he stepped out of the shadows. He was tall, like most dragonkin with Sire blood were, I reckoned he was in his mid-thirties or so. He had light blue eyes and dark brown hair that hung down to his shoulders. His clothes were expensive and his hands looked like they had seen plenty of fights. “The infamous Ryder Grey, elite hunter of the supernatural world, we meet at last,” he said as he sat down on the chair that Clifford had placed in front of me. “I assume you’re Carlson,” I said to him and he smiled at me.

'D-Drake. Someone called him again, but then he realized that Emily was calling him. His jaw clenched as he faced the hunters. "You're ungrateful, human! You dare to hurt that unwanted Luna—the stray?" he roared. The hunters moved backward as Drake suddenly shifted into a wild werewolf. His eyes turned red. "Unwanted, Luna? Stray?" The hunter scoffed as his men laughed soundly. "She's not unwanted. She's a Luna who will carry your heir, but before that, I will kill you first, and then, she'll follow you."

But it seems no one knew except Peter. Ryder had been hiding a secret, a secret so deep that it had allowed Ryker to penetrate our lives undetected. Peter continued, his voice shaded with a mixture of sorrow and frustration. "Ryder had a twin brother, Charia. Ryker was a wild wolf, locked away by Ryder for many years because he was incredibly dangerous. Ryder hoped to find a way to heal him, to fix his shattered soul. But he couldn't bring himself to end his own brother's life."

Ryder said, as if he weren't talking to me in particular, "I felt something inside of me pulling me toward you and I wanted to be close to you. That's why I offered you my shoulder after Dawn died. "But contrary to your belief, most pack members see me as a cruel, tough Alpha. It's hard, you know, really hard to keep up my physique when, really with all this stress weighing down on me, I just want to break down and cry, but I can't. Finding out all these secrets with me, my real mother is dead, I have a secret, possibly an evil brother, and I have mind powers, I just can't take it and be a stone cold Alpha on top of it!" I didn't trust myself to speak from the tears that were choking my word

“Not now Marcus,” “No, it has to be now. I want to be sure that I am not walking into a trap. Back in the hotel, when you walked in with Laura, I couldn’t perceive a thing. I knew that the two of you are immortals but I couldn’t tell what kind of creature you were. I think this should be the right time to say something.” “I guess we should just tell him, Flynn,” Rina said. Flynn heaved a sharp sigh as he removed his gaze from her to me. “Okay, I’ll tell you all you want to know. I am a Tribrid. That is both a vampire, werewolf and witch,” he replied.

"Bro, I don't know even know who you are—" "But I know who you are. I know all about you," he cut me off. "Ryder Jake Williams. The surfer. The player. The stepbrother. You're her fucking stepbrother and you just have to make a move on her. You have to get her to fall in love with you. And now, because of you, she has to leave her entire life behind. She'll lose her family, her friends, and she’ll have to give up on her dreams—"

I smiled to myself. The door opened and Ryder was led in by another guy. "Jax! It's good to see you. I hope you have good news for me " he beamed taking his seat opposite me at the bar. He took out ice block into his cup and filled it with alcohol. Oh, that's your last drink, fool. I thought. Ryder is someone you should call devil's advocate. He was evil and killed without no mercy. He killed his wife because she saw him when he shot his brother. He even said it without remorse.
