Fearing Fate

Fearing Fate

That first kill will always stay with me. The wolf standing across from me snaps his teeth at me, challenging me to make the first move. I wait. I want him to be anxious and make a mistake. And he finally does. He hesitates briefly. He goes to lunge, but hesitates for just a moment, remembering what I did to his friends just moments before. Then he commits to lunge at me, but I already anticipate the maneuver. I shoot up onto my hind legs and tower over his wolf. My front claws are in the air, lining up with his wolf’s exposed abdomen as he attempts to land on me. I dig my claws into his chest, then slowly lower down, digging my claws in deeper and deeper as they slide down his torso. His wo

at first I thought this was going to be the same as all the other stories. dumb main characters with a jealous girl who wants what isn't hers. I was wrong. this book was fantastic. I'm so happy I stuck it out and can't wait until the next book is finished to read.

Going Feral

Going Feral

Andrew wheezed out. Even when his face turned beet-red as I squeezed the air out of him, his eyes were filled with defiance. I tightened my hold on him. Wincing in agony, Andrew smacked my arm desperately. A crowd had gathered at this point. “Talk about brazen. Is he seriously committing murder right in front of the police station?” “Why does the guy look familiar? I can’t put my finger on it.” “Isn’t he a psycho running around with a knife?” …

Hyun said. Cela's phone starts to ring even before she could ask what Lora's call is about. Hyun went to the buffet table feeling better. "Are you feeling okay now, Sir Hyun?" someone from the team asked. "Never been better," he answered while looking at Cela who's now talking excitedly on the phone. "What's happening? I think something unusual is going on," another member of the team said. I guess we all know what it is about. Fourth book?

The Rogue King’s Servant Mate

The Rogue King’s Servant Mate

Distractedly, I left the book I wanted to pull behind and walked towards the table. Lily’s light scent of flowers hung in the air, and instinctively I just knew that was where she had been researching the day before. Curiously, I looked at the books on the table. One of them looked older than the rest. It’s pages were already yellowed and a corner looked burned off. With a frown, I held the thick back of the book and closed it to see the cover. FAE: The primals in human skin. Goosebumps rose along my arms and I shivered as I read the title.

He snaps his finger at my face and I kinda flinch a bit. "Yeah....thanks." I shuddered. He smirks and nod. I just stared at him as he helped in picking my books. "Thank you so much." I say after composing myself. "It's nothing." He said handling me my books. "Are you a newbie?." "Yeah I am." "Am Chad, nice to meet you." He says pocketing his hands. "Am Quinn. Same here." "A lovely name for a beautiful lady like you." He smirks.

She queried Sophia who stood there looking down at her worn-out sandals which by the way was her only remnant. She feared for her life these days. Since her father's death, her stepmother became a wolf and she became her prey. And Sophia never found the guts to stand up to her. Maybe because she never thought people like that exist or how dark and scary Maureen's eyes turned whenever she talked to her. "W...we had extramural practicals, it wasn't in our timetable so I didn't know We'd stay this long" She managed to explain. "Mmh? So you expect me to believe such lies?" Maureen said and rolled her eyes.

But I had caught her reading a book every now and then. "The books here are thousands of years old," I told her. "You can pick whatever you want, Love." We went our separate ways, searching for books that I thought would have useful information that would help Mikhail. I never let her get out of sight though. I saw the book she picked up and I saw that it was about fayes. A shy smile grew on her face. She wanted to know more about her kind. I found a book on vampire venom and thought it would be useful. I decided to not check out these books. It was easy because the library was empty just then. I put them in a bag so no one would see the titles of the books.

FERAL

FERAL

A soft breeze appeared from nowhere and changed the course of the sand while Quinn shifted mid lunge and went straight for my throat. My feet planted, I grabbed her my the neck, my hands getting hotter and I squeezed. She howled and wriggled around in my grasp. I was holding a squirming wolf who was struggling in my hands and howling like a cat. Her front paws were off the ground and swiped at me, trying to get me to release her, her back paws stayed down, barely brushing the ground. I stayed well out of reach of her front paws and squeezed her wolf neck tighter. I smelled burning hair but my hands stayed where they were. This shewolf had tried to take what was mine. I should break her neck.
