Forest River Park Novels & Stories

It was a heavily wooded park with lots of privacy. Katy parked her car in the lot closest to the trail leading to the river and trail head. It was an asphalt bike trail lined with benches and water fountains meandering about a quarter mile toward the river. There were identical side trails that intersected the main path along the way. It was a beautiful, spring morning and there were a several people on the trails enjoying the day.

It was a werewolf haven to release the beast from the it's cage. We arrived twenty minutes later, I parked the car in a parking lot that was close by the park. There was a metal sign that said "DO NOT TRESPASS" in bold fonts. Nevertheless, Nina and I ignored the warning sign and went through the fenced gate anyway. We were finally in the confines of Park Edge, it was oak - brown and primitive. The grasses we stepped on were crackly beneath our feet because of the recent dry spell. I didn't tell Christian, I just got into my car and drove there, letting things go with the flow. Louis was waiting for me by the entrance, so I won't get lost. It was indeed a really big park, leading down to the forest. As we made our way inside, I couldn't help but look all around me, many people were gathered by the parking area of their motors, they'd pick it up from there and race down the muddy tracks, leading down to the line of tall trees down at the forest. Crystal River Pack Summer was coming early to the Crystal River pack in central Pennsylvania. The first week of May found many families out in the main park in the heart of the city, Crystal Pass. An open green space with the occasional tree sat at one end of the large park with the library across the street. A spacious playground and smaller green space were at the other end which was closer to the packhouse. Between the two areas was a grove of trees that covered just over two acres. A jogging path meandered around and through the three elements of the five acres that made up Franklin Park. The path was part of a larger series of paths that wound through and encircled the entire city.

It was 6:17 PM when we arrived at the park. We chose Cresthills Park and Game Reserve as our destination. It was a favorite in the northern part of Vienna where we resided. The park was located in the hill town of Reshford, the land where it was situated was massive like a whole city itself. The atmosphere here is chilly and the wind is refreshing.

Without a word, we walk away from Joslyn’s grave, leaving a part of our past behind, as the huge Oak tree that had been once our hang out spot stood guard at our friends grave, fulfilling her wish to stay in her most favorite spot, forever, for eternity. ****************************************** The End
