Anahita Waterwolf POV We waterwolves have resettled on the banks of the Dream River that runs through the place once known as the Barren. Though to use the word 'barren' in relation to this magnificent place feels ridiculous. Many mornings I sit on the balcony of the packhouse, before the pack stirs, gazing out at the churning, roiling, foaming waves of the river, its banks densely packed with rich, dark mud. The colours of the river at dawn--blue, mauve, purple, indigo, green--remind me of the lifestone and that night when the poison was driven out. The lifestone disappeared, it's work done. And Silvia's iron--the physical iron anyway--was also gone.

Olivia and Amelia gasped. The mother river glowed red. It was stunning under the light of the moon. “Stunning, isn’t it?” Laura said “I’ve never seen anything like it,” Amelia whispered. “We’re the only race of water wolf, that we know of. We have a deep connection to our mother river, the Red River.”

The trio started walking to the middle of the bridge. “Why is it called the rainbow river?” Ruby asked curiously, not giving the thought of the bridge being what the name implied, a chance. “It has all colours of the rainbow in a straight, never ending pattern.” Rose answered with pride dancing around her face. “Wow, really? All colours of the... Rainbow...” The word hung in her mouth as she saw the truth in what Rose had said. She was stunned by the wonder below her. The water below her was red, Orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, they flowed calmly without falling over each other.

I got this hunch that he'd become aware of my gaze and was about to return it, so I looked away immediately. "Are you aware that the rainbow is just an illusion?" He asked turning to me, with that cute smile still playing on his lips. "Huh?" "The rainbow," he repeated, pointing towards it "it's an illusion cast on the sky due to the reflection of light" "Really" I said. He scoffed and silence reigned once again. I figured it was now time to part ways before he begins to grow on me. "I'm about to go in now," I said reluctantly "Which hospital building do you stay?" I grabbed the arms of his wheelchair.

But suddenly. “Mommy, Daddy.” A cry from a little girl echoes right in front of him and from the other end of the bridge. The night that is deep and quiet makes the crying echoes. The burning cars in front of them and the smell of intoxicating burns are raising. He stops crying, now pitying the little girl that just got his attention. He turns his gaze in front and saw the little one dressed in red, full of wounds, and crying hard. Her cheeks are red from crying and her nose seems to swell because of the same reason. The lights from the bridge made him see her clearly, or perhaps he is only seeing himself from her.

Both Ione and Jenna fell, and all the flowers in their basket fell upon Purple. “ya! Purple, you started me !” Ione screamed. Purple laugh at them. “Seriously purple, I just got a heart attack,” Jenne said, placing her hand on her heart. “what going on here? Are you guys celebrating something,” Purple asked while removing flowers from her head. “yes, purple, it’s the Sun festival; today is the day when all pack members gather around Amber River, also called River of the sun, to pray to the rising sun.

With a crazy laugh, a vast purple light slowly appeared. This purple light was clearly a divine river flowing up and down without any impurities. With the flow of the divine river, a space had been dyed into a pure land. "Crack crack crack..." Sensing the appearance of the purple river, the fragment of Tree of Eternity began to tremble. It was excited. It was as if a Giant Dragon who had been sleeping for many years had seen many delicious foods.

“This is indeed like a dream.” "You won't know, if there is a protector in this river too. A goddess who can glow purplish…that's very cute…because this river doesn't emit a purple color at all. I met her once… and she said, that she is the color complement of the animals in this river… the beast that makes this river shine.” "Can I touch it?" "Yeah… but… it's better not at night… we never know, a man is waiting for you or not… you can be kidnapped and taken to his palace… made as his wife.”

He asked. “Yes and no…I received a letter…Marley…my mate is Pure like me. She has an affinity to rain…to storms.” I told him. There was a long pause. “Wow man that’s unheard of…two Pure mated together…I haven’t heard of that in the history of anything. You’re fire is chaos, storms are chaos. With the fire and water you balance each other out but in the wrong hands…you guys could destroy so much…” “I figured as much….”I sighed.

Just as I made it to the other side of the street, the rain stopped, and Monique headed into a dive called The Purple Diamond. She could have picked any one of the thirty or forty bars that lined this particular strip, but she picked the one with the loudest music and the rowdiest crowd. I knew right away that I wouldn't be able to get any audio, but I could at least get some video and some quality images.
