The slow violin just sent me to heaven then the sniffling of all the others. A throat cleared, the officiate speaking. Salvatore stepped forward, holding out the ring. Elio took it, nodding to Salvatore before he took my shaking hand and slipped the ring through my finger. It was a thick band of a black eternity ring laced with diamonds all around. The princess-shaped red diamond which sat on top did not belong but how breathtaking it was. The ring without the stone was mind-blowing and with the red diamond, it was just showing off and I liked it when Elio showed off on my account. “I love it.” I whispered, giggling, and sniffling. He brought my hand up to kiss the ring then the hand itself.

She says smiling. "Oh, baby. You're stuck with me for the rest of your life." I say and she brightens up. She looks at the ring on her hand for a moment and then she looks at me. She sighs as if it just hit her. "We're doing this forever thing." She says and I nod smiling harder than I ever had, "Forever," I say loving the sound of that.
