The book was published. --- The reviews arrived across March and April. The editor sent them—the ones she gathered, the significant ones, the ones that she thought Don should see. She sent them by post, each review clipped from the publication, each with a brief note in her handwriting indicating which publication it came from and whether she thought Don would find it useful. She did not send every review. She sent the substantial ones, the ones that engaged with the argument rather than simply announcing the book's existence.
