Amara’s POV The first screams came at dawn. Scouts stumbled through the gates, bloodied, eyes wide with terror. Their voices cracked as they tried to speak, but the stench clinging to them said enough. rot, smoke, the copper of spilled blood. “The Forsaken,” one managed. His knees buckled. “They’re… moving. Villages in the east ,they don’t leave corpses. They take them. Make them rise.” A ripple of horror coursed through the yard. Mothers pulled children inside, warriors gripped blades with white-knuckled fists, and the air itself seemed to freeze.

The steady march of Aeternum’s progress into the Forbidden Wasteland was unlike anything the world had ever seen. For centuries, the wasteland had been regarded as a cursed, barren land, an uninhabitable stretch of desolation where only the desperate, the exiled, and the forgotten remained. To other nations, it was nothing more than a footnote in history—something to be ignored or used as a dumping ground for undesirables. But to Aeternum, it was an opportunity.

Chapter 11: The Enemy's Plan Kael's POV The night was still, yet I knew a storm was brewing. Not the kind that came with wind and rain, no this one was different. This was a storm of power shifting, borders being tested, and blood would spill. I stood in my study, staring at the map of territories stretched across my desk. My gaze lingered on the Silverfang Pack's lands, their borders marked clearly in dark ink. Lucian Blackwood ruled there, and for too long, he had acted as if he were untouchable.

But not long after, the three of them collectively sighed. “Guess we must make her happy, huh?” “There’s no other solution.” “Ha ha ha, huh~.” Farizad could only laugh bitterly at their comments. Right now, they are on the east coast of the wingsman kingdom. The so-called forsaken district. It was a town full of forsaken people but still received support from the kingdom albeit not much. It still was enough to sustain their everyday life. In a way, they were still under the mercy of the kingdom. The district was abandoned due to the high rate of crime and the toxin emitted by the trees.

“Just pack your things and leave. I, Alpha Adam Lyons, forever banish you, Emily Charlene Lyons from the Blue Moon pack. If you return back to Blue Moon land, you will be placed in the cells until execution.” Easton let out a murderous growl, and my eyes went wide with shock. “Daddy…why?” Why would my father banish me for finding and marking my fated mate? Before I could even ask the question, my mother was glaring at me. “I never should have accepted you as my daughter. You’re just as terrible as your whore of a mother.” She snarled before walking away.

I felt cracked. I’d managed to build an image of what my life would be like, created a picture that seemed to be so right I didn’t prepare myself for a reality where it was anything but my reality. So things had begun to fall apart, pieces of this life breaking away bit by bit until I was left with nothing but me. But I didn’t know what I was without being Alpha, didn’t know who I was without my family, and I didn’t want to know. Because so far, that person seemed to be weak. Cracked. Mangled. Broken.

Diana steps forward, trying to look intimidating. "I'm just a gentleman offering to accompany your daughter in this bag." Thaddeus chuckles as he kicks the bag with Zara's body. This village use to be called Winterfreed. It was always known for its wide vast area of trees and best place for fishing spots. When our first nasty drought hit, it caused an uproar.
