They were like different, and can't be trusted. They were only bigger than the average Meiv because they had large and defined muscles, and most of their activities involved hard worked, they enjoyed doing things the hard way, and were fearful. The center, like its name suggested, was filled with all kinds of beastfolk. Adorable rabbits, seductive foxes, imposing wolf-dogs, outgoing and cheerful puppies, and more. This was heaven. The beastfolk were performing on the stage with all they had, showing off their charm as best as they could. The performer with the highest votes would be crowned Best Beastfolk Star, and they'd be awarded with a handsome amount of prize money.

The spirit beast ran to the border before stopping, but all we could see were the three beastmen. "You vile beasts, where have you taken Vee?" Mother angrily scolded them, forgetting that she was merely the ruler of a small kingdom. Sure enough, the three beastmen burst into laughter upon hearing that. Felix casually tugged on a rope beside him. "Ha! Like mother, like daughter—so defiant." Sharp wails came from the cliff's edge. "Mother, no! Don't anger them or I'll die! They're all insane!" Mother was gripping my hand tightly, and when she discovered Victoria hanging from the cliff wall by a thin rope, her nails dug into my flesh.

"You do know their families. I think they were called the powerful four on the outside." My eyes widened. Everyone knew the powerful four. The families that held the reigns of the packs and made the rules for everyone else. They also produced some of the strongest, most capable wolves, and it made it even harder to overthrow them or even attempt to rebel. "A descendant from each of those families lives in these walls, and soon enough, you will see them. Just make sure to steer clear. One or two of them might be friendly, and they might not even mean any harm, but their wolves are powerful like that, and the weaker you are, the higher chance you have of being sniffed to death by one of them."

Instead of replying her, he tangled his fingers in her golden mane, fisting them in his hand and yanked her back. She hissed through her teeth, watching him with a helpless expression. He had never seen her weak like this and his dead heart skipped a beat at her expression. He ran his eyes over her figure. She was still dressed in those cheap, ugly pajamas, he wanted to rip them off her beautiful body and bury her in the finest silk and jewels.

Nothing came out. She gasped. “Oh my moons, you did.” “Vivia!” “You kissed Ares?” “…yes.” “I knew it. Moody brooding types always fall first.” She leaned forward. “Finn?” “…yes.” “Aaaaand the golden retriever strikes again. Gunner?” “…yes.” “Oh my goddess.” She clutched her chest dramatically. “Kai too?” “…yes,” I mumbled. Vivia collapsed backward in theatrical agony. “All four?! In one day?! Zorya! Are you trying to ascend?! Become a goddess? Because this is how you ascend! This is how one becomes immortal!”
