“Get the chains. Now.” I had prepared for this. Discarded my uniform for shorts, so there would be more exposed skin. Ghost fought me as Dante and Jaxon rushed to get the chains. With gloves on, they started bounding me. My muscles strain as they wrap the silver chain around my wrists and chest. The poison from the silver bites into my skin like acid, burning and hissing. Jaxon flinches at the smell. “It’s holding?” I test the weight of the chain. My body jerks once, then stills. Ghost snarls, retreating into the dark corners of my head. For a moment, my mind clears and I can breathe again.

The links are thick, rusted, biting into his flesh. "You touched her," a voice growls from the darkness. Drakon. He steps out of the shadows of the alley. He’s not holding a gun. He’s holding the other end of the chain. He yanks. The Reaper flies backward. His feet leave the ground. His windpipe crushes with a sickening crunch. Drakon swings him. He uses the man’s body like a flail, slamming him into the brick wall. The Reaper hits with a meat-heavy thud and slides down, motionless.

My skin burned instead of stinging, and more blood spilled from my mouth but I fought and fought, until the lights of the candles came on…. Another thunder bolted angrily, followed by a violent whoosh of air that threatened to put off the candle lights. I wiped my mouth with the back of my palm, grabbed the dead animal and began to tie it with a white rope. As soon as I was done, I threw it into the bowl of animal blood and carried it up, resuming my chant with a bell on my other hand. “Adaou dingo zatuu!” “Gruzdenn cratin fantuaaa”

He became agitated, his chest heaving as he strained against the silver chains that bound his wrists and ankles. “Arghh” A low, vibrating hum erupted from his throat as he kept struggling against the chains. Suddenly, the man’s hands flexed and with a sickening sound of tearing flesh and grinding bone, metal like claws extended from his hands. They tore through the skin of his knuckles, gleaming brightly in the dimly lit space.

I turned to face the guy with the chain, who looked hesitant now, his eyes darting from his downed friends to me. He swung the chain, trying to keep distance between us, the metal links flashing in the dim light. I waited, biding my time, watching his rhythm. When he swung again, I ducked low, grabbing a piece of broken wood from the ground. As he tried to recover, I jammed the wood into his shin. He yelped, losing his footing, and I took my chance to close in, grabbing the chain and twisting it from his grip. He scrambled back, wide-eyed.

The smell of burning flesh filled the throne room but Draevon breathed it in like it was fresh morning air. He stretched his arms above his head like he'd just woken up from a nice nap and turned to face the final man. This one he'd chained to the wall earlier and had already cut off one of his hands, just for fun. The man was whimpering, tears and snot running down his face. Draevon snapped his fingers and the chains holding the man loosened. The man fell to the ground with a painful thump but didn't dare stand up. He just lay there, shaking like a leaf in a storm, blood still pouring from where his hand used to be.

Facing the swarming demon ants, Chu Xun went completely crazy. Streak after streak of purple light struck the ground. The phoenix of fire burned out the sky while the Demon-slain Finger split the ground apart. Large amounts of devil ants were turned into ashes. Chu Xun fought his way out and went deep into the heartlands of the Subterranean Devils Clan. "Roar... who is it that dares to trespass my territory?" A human-shaped man, as tall as a mountain and with a leopard's head and a snake's tail, roared at Chu Xun with a mace that was several meters long.

These beasts had tongues but it was long and identical to a chain. It can elongate as far as it wishes. Also, these chain like tongues have sharp blades at the thin side of tongue and it is very very sharp. One swipe of the chain, the victim will be severely injured. The two men tied to the chains, looked up from their bloodied states only to see the devil standing in front of them. "Let the fun begin," Dante smirked, stabbing the first man in the shoulder and twisting his knife a full 180 degrees. The man screamed in unbearable pain and already felt his life slipping away. Dante had dug his knife into the same spot the man was shot at. "How dare you even touch my girl?" Dante gritted every word before dragging the knife to his chest, cutting open all the skin that came in its way. "How dare you even look at her with your filthy eyes?" the man spat some blood before looking in Dante's eyes.
