The man straightened, trying to sound confident. “You said she could dance with me.” “I did,” Freddy said evenly, “but I didn’t say you could touch her like that.” His eyes, cold as winter, dropped to where the man’s hand was still brushing my waist. The man quickly let go. Freddy gave him a faint but dangerous smile, “It’s time for us to go.”
