Nomo gasped, blood trickling from a cut on his forehead. He watched through the cracked glass as the gray, swirling Eldergloom mists rose to meet him. They looked like a hungry ocean, cold and indifferent to the war raging above. He felt the weightlessness of the freefall, the wind whistling through the jagged holes in the hull. "Nomo! Can you hear me? Nomo!" Somito’s voice crackled through the comms, but it was fading, lost to the interference of the mists. "I'm still here, Somito," Nomo whispered, closing his eyes as the ship hit the first layer of the gray fog. "I'm still here."

He bit into her neck deeply; I saw his hands scratching at her chest while biting further. I screamed as blood filled his mouth and ran down her neck. She screamed and tried fighting him off to no ability. She hit him and he grabbed her arm throwing it aggressively. The sound of shattering bones filling the room with her screams that started to die as well. I felt like I couldn’t look away, the dark one bit harder and ripped her throat out. I screamed louder in terror. Everything that was rushing back into my mind was the grizzly scene from my parents death.

The first thing in the file was the black MRI film. “See the white area at the back? It shouldn’t be there,” the doctor explained as he pointed at the film. She flipped the page. The next few pages were the blood reports that didn't show any abnormalities. Then came the trauma report and the photos of her defiled lady parts. Jessica had her jaw on the floor and her eyes popping out of her skull. She didn't need any explanation. It was all clear as day. There were ruptures and scars all over her abdomen. The internal injuries were even more severe and horrific. The external injuries had faded over time but the internal ones still looked fresh.

The pages were old enough that several nearly crumbled beneath his fingers, the writing faded and uneven in places as if whoever had written it never intended for the book to survive this long. Most of the first pages were impossible to read fully, sections lost entirely to time and damage, though scattered words still stood out enough to piece fragments together. Moonstone. Balance. Divine corruption. Cedric leaned closer. “Keep going.” Calix carefully turned another page. Then another. Anyone who sees that will be fooled, it looks tasty. "Be careful with that, we might explode here." Corinthians noted. "Don't worry baby, it'll only explode when shooted." Greyson replied with a wink.
