The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Very wrong. Then he looked at the shadow again. Carefully. Then: "You aren't Samuel." The figure tilted its head. Then: "Why?" Then Thomas answered. Then: "Because Samuel never told me to quit." Silence. Then the smile disappeared. Immediately. Then the figure's face cracked. Literally cracked. Darkness leaked from beneath its skin. Then the forest screamed. Thousands of voices. All at once. Then the shadow exploded. Gone. The First Fragment glowed brighter.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

“I remember the fear of failing those I was sworn to protect and the fear of the darkness I saw growing in my own brother.” They formed a circle around the grey patch, their hands linked not to each other, but to the broken memory of the library. They didn’t offer it hope or rain. They offered it understanding. They offered it companionship in its fear. Liora focused all of this shared feeling, the acknowledgement of pain and terror, and pushed it into the grey patch through her journal. The silver light that flowed out was not bright and joyful. It was a deep, solemn blue, the colour of a deep ocean or a twilight sky. It filled the grey patch, and the screaming in Liora’s mind faded, replac

ALMOST PERFECT

ALMOST PERFECT

he whispered into the darkness, the words, once a sacred truth, now tasting like bitter ash on his tongue. She sighed in her sleep, a sound of perfect, unwavering contentment. Grey did not sleep. He lay rigidly beside her, staring at the cracked ceiling, watching the faint orange light from the streetlamps paint shifting, monstrous patterns overhead. The adrenaline and alcohol had long since faded, leaving behind a cold, clear, and utterly terrifying dread that seeped into his very marrow.

Until I Met You

Until I Met You

Blood. Gray gently taps my cheek and keep on talking. I can't hear a thing. The world is slow before my eyes as I fight to pry them open. I close my eyes and open them. Everything is upside down and I can't keep my eyes open. Gray already tolls me on his arms as he rushes out of the club. I can't see further. I peel my eyes open again as it finally closes. Darkness.

Luna's Prohibited Love

Luna's Prohibited Love

Grey got into the study room, slammed it shut, and growled in anger as he flipped the desk upside down in anger. He sent the ceramic flower vase smashing in the mirror on the wall, and it broke into pieces. He heaved in anger as he could feel his throat burning with hurt. Maya heard the shattering of glasses, and attempted to go after Grey when green eyes immediately feigned pain as he slumped on his knees. "Luna, please help me," he pleaded in short gasped as blood kept flowing out from where Grey had stabbed him.

Shadows of the night

Shadows of the night

He bit into her neck deeply; I saw his hands scratching at her chest while biting further. I screamed as blood filled his mouth and ran down her neck. She screamed and tried fighting him off to no ability. She hit him and he grabbed her arm throwing it aggressively. The sound of shattering bones filling the room with her screams that started to die as well. I felt like I couldn’t look away, the dark one bit harder and ripped her throat out. I screamed louder in terror. Everything that was rushing back into my mind was the grizzly scene from my parents death.

Shadow of Yesterday

Shadow of Yesterday

The first thing in the file was the black MRI film. “See the white area at the back? It shouldn’t be there,” the doctor explained as he pointed at the film. She flipped the page. The next few pages were the blood reports that didn't show any abnormalities. Then came the trauma report and the photos of her defiled lady parts. Jessica had her jaw on the floor and her eyes popping out of her skull. She didn't need any explanation. It was all clear as day. There were ruptures and scars all over her abdomen. The internal injuries were even more severe and horrific. The external injuries had faded over time but the internal ones still looked fresh.
