The Stranger Who Stayed:When Fate Knocks Once

The Stranger Who Stayed:When Fate Knocks Once

He thought about the woman in the southeast corner who had been first and had read for an hour and a half. He opened the library notes. He wrote: The fifth of August. The first day. Two hundred and fourteen people. Forty-one pauses on the fourth tread — nineteen percent. Sixty-three in the reading room. Twelve for longer than an hour. The woman in the southeast corner: an hour and a half. She arrived first and she stayed the longest. She did not know she was first. She came because it was Tuesday and the library was open and she had a reason or no particular reason — either is the right reason.

Tearing Off My Skin

Tearing Off My Skin

All the other women said in unison. "What makes us so pissed off is that so many black and African women are always seen and stereotyped as sexual beasts. That our only assets in life is have sex and give pleasure to men. Even though sex is good, black women shouldn't live life only pleasing or obeying to men. We have our own lives to live and we don't need validation from any man. We could be sexy, beautiful, confident, and strong all by ourselves. We don't need to please a man like you to know our worth. Black women have always been worth it and we will forever have each other's backs." She added with a lot grit to her voice. "Amen sister!" The ladies respond in unison.

said the black woman. “How do you even know that? And who wouldn’t bang our boss anyway? I would gladly spread my legs for him.” The fake blonde with fake lashes giggled. “Even for free, just for one night.” “You’re disgusting.” The boob-job woman cringed. “Well, she must be so good at her job if she lasts this long,” the black woman said, and they all laughed. “Ignore them.” The thirty-ish curvy woman joined me. “I’ve heard worse.” I sipped my sofa noisier. “And I could care any less,” I said out loud before I rose to my feet.

It's a typical rich guy who has no time for relationships. And thank God the female lead is not a poor and weak girl. What I like about this novel is the chemistry between Rome and Carly, and the guy isn't an assh*le. He genuinely wants her, and not only after s*x.

Great book. I'm always into stories with depth of character transitions and unpredictable plots. It's okay to have a common trope as long as the twists are unique and the characters' chemistry is off the chart.

"Please let me know as soon as you find anything useful. Anything at all. If there is any way I can help, I will. Perhaps I could even go to the library with you." "Alright. Come with me. I don't think we have something better to do at this moment." Freya nodded and followed after her, and they soon got to the big building. "Which book would you like to read today, your majesty?" The old librarian asked her. "My lady." He greeted Freya. "Do you know if I can find books on lycans?" Luciana asked.

I really love this book. I enjoy the characters, especially Luciana and Raziel. They are both twisted individuals. I enjoy Luciana's sharp mouth, her sass and her strength, and I enjoy everything about Raziel's character. I can't wait for their romance to bloom fully. Good job author.

Hi, I really enjoyed the story, it has the kind of detail and energy that would look incredible as a comic. I’m a commissioned (paid) artist and also work on covers and character illustrations. If you’d ever like to see your work in comic form, I’d love to collaborate. Portfolio available anytime

Contract Marriage with the Disabled Billionaire

Contract Marriage with the Disabled Billionaire

I stopped by the library—the same one I’d visited as a girl, the place where I first found stories about women who dared to rise beyond the walls they were born in. Mrs. Bertram, the head librarian, recognized me immediately. “You’ve grown into yourself,” she said as she welcomed me inside. I smiled. “I’m trying.” “I heard about the Foundation. And the baby. Congratulations.” “Thank you.” “I always said you had a story inside you.” “I think it just took time to find its voice.” I donated a dozen books from the Barlowe house—stories I wanted other young girls to find: Jane Eyre, Little Women, The Secret Life of Bees, Becoming, The House on Mango Street, and more.

The largest out of the men said before they walked us to the back. The first thing i heard was excited giggles from children and teenagers grinning about the new girlfriend book. It was for them after wards. Reynolds sipped her hands inside my arm as we walked to the front. The local TV news was covering everything. "In honor of children, parents and grandparents. I created a free library where children and adults can spend their whole day reading without interruption," I said. "Nowadays libraries are boring. You would only find chemistry books and physical and health education books or psychological book with human skeleton laying around. But this is an advanced library with everything. Inc

Zach says as we begin walking to the library again. We walk in, waving at the woman who is standing guard at the front window like someone might decide to steal some books. Since Piper and Zach seem to know where they’re going, we follow them back to a secluded corner of the library. It’s darker back here but there’s a table set up and a young woman is there with a computer in front of her, typing away at lightening speed.
