Emily smiled as a certain memory of little Dalton chasing after Charlotte popped into her mind. Charlotte was a hard kid and did not like to mingle with others. She had only one female friend until Dalton came along. She had hid behind her grandfather and refused to shake his hand when they were introduced. Charlotte's grandfather, Elijah, had flushed with embarrassment before apologizing on her behalf and telling Dalton and his grandfather that Charlotte was a shy little girl.

Devon asked, "Do you want to go to the city park with me and Kattie this afternoon?" "Kattie?" "My dog." Charlotte laughed. "When I was a child, some people used to call me Kattie." "Really? Charlotte flinched a little when she heard him but then realized that it was simply a greeting . " Good.......Good evening sir ! " said Charlotte with a nervous smile . " It seems you like the desserts prepared tonight . " said Diego with a smirk . " Yes , I do ! They are really delicious . Do you like them too sir ?! " said Charlotte and waited for an answer but she saw that he was staring at her . " ........... Is there any dessert cream on the corner of my mouth ?! " asked Charlotte nervous .

She chortled in between her gasps. “Not that unpleasant, babe!” she responded to his sad joke. “Okay, okay. I wouldn’t do anything to harm you, my Lotte. You know that right?” Charlotte nodded. “Would you like to visit the Bahamas with me this weekend, though?” he begged. Charlotte put down her glass from her lips, scanning his eyes to authenticate his statement. “Absolutely, yes!” she exclaimed loudly with a wide smile on her cherry lips. “Great!”

“Well, try not to get that busy around here. We are a smaller community, and we all love a good spicy romance…” “I’ll do my best,” Lotte half promised. “Though I really think you have the spicy romance in the bag. That kiss earlier was enough to make those ladies lose their ever-loved minds. Something tells me that doesn’t happen often for them.” Relaxing back against the couch, Charlotte tried to give the appearance that she was making herself at home.
