Charlotte hummed in approval. "It'll get cold if you don't take it now." "Yeah. Thanks."

Yet. He held up two fingers. “Two please. I didn't get my sandwich this morning, either.” I added a couple more eggs into the pan, letting them melt into the butter while I added my seasonings. Then, it was just to keep stirring them until they were done. I picked up the unopened coconut. “Do either of you know where a nail is?” I asked after a moment of searching. “The milk will make you feel better, Charlotte. It's one of the best re-hydrating liquids around.”

It wouldn't be wise of her to lay here and argue about something that trivial with her. Yes, it was not something she should be worrying her head about, or even giving that much concentration. She pushed herself so that she could sit up and then she said. “Well, I hear you, but I don't agree with that. I'll go get myself some water. My throat is all parched, so I'll go get some chilled drink or something.” Charlotte gave her a look and then she said. “Don’t worry about that, I'll go grab you something from the fridge. I'll be right back.” She said, standing up.

She went to that lavishly furnished bathroom to finish off her morning chores since Jaxson wanted her to stay so she decided to be here until Noah goes to school. After she came out of the restroom, Charlotte made her way towards the kitchen to get a glass of water. Yesterday, the way things happened gave her stressful feelings at one side and on the other, she remembered about the kiss they shared, and the way she wanted him last night, Charlotte choked the water recapping it.

River – POV The smell of fresh toast and coffee filled the dining room as Hailey and I sat across from each other, breakfast plates between us. The clink of cutlery and the occasional sip of coffee were the only sounds for a moment—until she decided to drop a bomb. “So… just a heads-up,” she started, cutting into her pancake, “Charlotte will be staying here for two weeks. Plumbing issues at her place.”

Charlotte's POV Elijah picked up the phone and called his secretary to bring some water to the office. Soon, she entered with a bottle of water, handed it to him, and then left. "You might be thirsty. Drink this," he said to Shaira. Elijah walked over to Charlotte. He took the cup of ice cream and replaced it with a bottle of water. "Don't eat this anymore. It's no longer cold and has melted. Drink some water so your throat won't hurt."

By the time I´ve done a quick round of the staff, and checked if anything needs my attention, Charlotte is already in the gym, jogging on a treadmill, upping the speed as I watch. "Everything alright?" She nods, beginning to perspire as she warms up, so I join her on the next machine, jogging along to keep her company. She increases her speed again, breathing more heavily. After a few minutes, I see James walking by and wave him in. "Just give me a shout if you need anything," I say. As an afterthought, I put a bottle of water on the shelf in front of her. Charlotte nods thanks, again turning up the speed, and I leave her with it.

She spoke. “Me too. I can’t wait for that day. By the way, did you invite any friends?” “Yes, I did. I can feel someone’s jealousy. I know you are thinking about Bill.” “Maybe, maybe not,” Charlotte’s life: “Wow, finally, I got rid of my fear. I am no longer afraid of water. I don’t care that my make-up will be spoiled because of getting into the water.” Char said to Jason. “Yeah, I’m glad to change your view towards the water,” Jason replied as Charlotte was enjoying the feel of water on her skin in the swimming pool.

Leora Charlotte moved with instinctive certainty, anticipating my needs before I even knew I needed them. She rose smoothly, grabbed a pink container from the stand nearby, and poured water into a waiting cup. She handed it to me without a word, and I wasted no time bringing it to my lips. The first gulp was a massive relief. Cold liquid slid down my parched throat, soothing the rawness that had scraped at every swallow. The chill of the water eased the scratchiness. When I lowered the cup, Charlotte immediately refilled it. Her movements were quick, steady, and deliberate.

She then bends down to retrieve her pile of books from the ground and stands up. "My name is Charlotte" I tell her and extend my hand forward as a kind gesture. She looks at me from top to bottom. I know that my gesture has taken her by surprise and she continues to look nervous. I look at her and to my surprise, she takes my hand and shakes it with a sweet smile. "Hi, my name is Adele, nice to meet you Charlotte" she says with a smile. "Are you a newcomer too?" she continues. "Yes, are you?" I ask her returning her smile.
