Broken Promise
she asked as soon as she finished yelling at me.
"I'm having fun, I'm with a friend," I said, laughing at the thought. Could Jones be considered my friend? He certainly wasn't a stranger anymore; the guy saw me bare in body and soul, seriously. "Say hi to my friend here," I tried to pass the phone to Jones, but he laughed and moved away, and in my dizziness, I barely followed his movements. I put the phone back to my ear and could hear Anne's exasperated breathing.
"For God's sake, don't tell me you're drunk," she pleaded.
