Fulfilling Life

What inspired you to write One Promise? You see, when I was young, life was tough. I grew up with a broken family. I never felt the love I wanted all my life. I've always love reading. That's when I found my new comfort through writing. Then I held on to it because it gave me hope. It gave me another way to ease my broken self cause I needed to. Just when I thought I already hit rock bottom with all these pain I felt ever since I was a kid, God must've still felt the need to push me more by leaving me with a monstrous dad but I saw how God changes him. So I wrote this story for my dad.

With all my power I pushed him making him fall in the pool. "Happy Birthday," I said with a smirk on my face but he didn't let me go. Things he did to me after it still send a shiver to my spine. One thing was clear on that day that I don't want to see his face again in this life. But I don't know what the hell I'm doing standing in front of him in Church wearing a wedding gown and looking at his angry victory smirk on his face with my glassy eyes.

“I’ll ask again,” He says with an husky finish on his voice, leaving his sitting position over to mine and squatting in front of me “Have you ever consider me as your type of guy?” I have the answer to that question already in my heart and he looking closely into my eyes freezes them from coming out. He’s close, again, too close. Before I know what is happening, he steals my last words, like knowing exactly what I want to say next and preventing me from saying them.
