The Cherished Wife

The Cherished Wife

Suddenly, they heard the rumbling of a car outside, followed by the sound of the engine turning off. James hurried out to greet him. "Mr. Charles is back!" Charles held a coat in his hand. Although early spring had passed, the weather at the Hoffman residence was still a bit chilly. Seeing the butler approaching, he glanced at him and nodded slightly with a hum. The people in the living room were slightly startled by Charles' deep voice and stood up. "Charlie!" Standing at the entrance, still holding his coat, Charles' gaze swept over a familiar face. He paused momentarily before his expression turned cold.

Choosing Between My Hot Stepbrother Or His Rival My Bestfriend

Charles complimented, “Thank you but you, it's my uncle's mansion” “The one you said took you in?” “Hmmm” “So no one is home?” He asked looking around, “Nhhh, Liam already left for football practice, let me get us something to drink” I said to him and stood up as I began to make my way to the kitchen, “I'm coming with you” Charles said and stood up too. “Wow your uncle must be so freaking rich, is this a mansion or a castle?” Charles complimented almost making me laugh

Told me about the house here 'n all," Tony replied. "Quite the nice young lad! Glad you two reconnected. Brother's need to stay together. No ifs, ands, or buts about it," Charles said warmly. The Billionaire's Unwanted Wife

His eyes settled on me. “I’ll be in the office for a while. Butler Charles will show you around,” he said. I only nodded, avoiding his gaze. Moments later, he turned and left. Butler Charles straightened again as he turned to me, keeping his posture polite and humble. “Madam, it’s truly nice to meet you. I’m Butler Charles, and this is Martha, the housekeeper of this mansion,” he introduced them. The housekeeper gave me only the faintest nod before she finally spoke.

“And housekeepers don’t usually turn out to be cousins.” Charles put both hands over his face. “My whole life,” he said, voice muffled. “Everything I’ve done. Every share I’ve bought, every quiet arrangement I’ve protected, all of it was supposed to be about keeping the family safe. Keeping what we have.” He lowered his hands, and his eyes were wet now, raw in a way Cloe suspected nobody had seen in a very long time. “And the whole time, part of my family was living forty feet from my back door, and I never knew, because the people who built this whole careful system made absolutely sure I never would.”

Gen YA
The storyline is good but I hope the author should refrain from so many redundant repetitive words, dialogues, side thoughts, actions of the characters, which are becoming an annoyance, tiresome to read further, just be direct with the story.
Araceli Rocio
Chapter 32 and I cannot stop. A very young boy deciding to find everyone the world forgot, it sounds simple until you’re actually reading it and realising how profound it is. Dave doesn’t feel like a fictional child. He feels completely real. And every chapter ends right, this book is amazing!!!

Not an Ordinary Shoe Sole Maker

Charles replied exasperatedly. Barbara, who had been busy getting food, didn't seem to want to get involved and remained silent. "The only reliable children are Ceciliaand Beatrice. One got good grades in college, one got a good job, and the other got a good husband," Charles continued, which now put Charlotte in an even more uncertain mood. Charles clucked his tongue. "A shoe solver is nothing to be proud of. It's just embarrassing," Charles said deliberately. Shane looked relaxed, but not Charlotte. She had lost what little patience she had left.
