Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Elric Novels & Stories

Right in front of me stood the man from the night, the one who took his time to ruin me in and out even if I could barely recall his name. I thought my heart had already gone through its strain this week, but nothing could have prepared me for what I heard next. “Please meet Ezekiel– my brother,”

Kyle was there- one hand gripping the stone edge like he was trying to steady himself. His breath seemed haggard. His eyes moved to me and I could see anger flash through them. "You did well." Matt murmured as we got closer. "Mother, Father." Matt called. Kyle straightened himself slowly, swaying a bit. "You don't look well." Matt mocked. But Kyle didn't respond. He took a shaky step forward and immediately fell down. His breathing getting even louder. Matt sighed softly, his eyes softening with fake worry. "Brother, you've been sick for quite sometime. Why don't you allow-" He pulled me forward. "Elisa to take care of you."

I was Alpha. I was feared. I was respected. I was powerful. But in this moment, I was nothing...nothing but a father terrified he had failed. My heart slammed against my ribs. My breath tore through my lungs. My muscles screamed. But I kept running. “Damon!” someone called again from behind. That was Elric, the quiet tracker with the golden eyes and a voice so soft most wolves leaned in to hear him. He always carried a calm presence, the type that made others feel safe.

Rumors say he doesn't have a mate and has been searching for a breeder strong enough to bear him an heir. My sister had literally narrowly escaped death. It was said that none of the maidens made it out alive. I had to protect my sister, who was so full of life. Sure, she wouldn’t value what I was about to do. But I was relieved to know that she'd gone far away from here. Alpha Elric opened the small storage room where the ceremonial dress was. Then he tossed it at my feet. "Make no mistake, mutt. When I find your sister, I will break her legs and have all of my officials ruin her."

Elric staggered but didn’t fall — violet flames rippled across his skin, healing the bruise before their eyes. Lyra’s stomach dropped. That flame wasn’t just dangerous — it was alive. “Arden, wait!” she cried, but her brother was already shifting, bones snapping, fur bristling, golden fire bursting through his veins. Elric shifted too, his wolf emerging in a ripple of violet and shadow. Larger than before, his fur seemed to drink in the light. His growl was deeper, more guttural, something not wholly wolf anymore. The ridge exploded in violence.

Guilt. He’s proud of me. He’s always been proud of me. He’s never made me feel like anything less than his daughter. He’s doted on me. Loved me. But he’s not my father. And I’m helping tear down everything he’s built. Elric raises his hand again, and the arena settles. “But we must remember why we stand together now,” he continues. “Hulen has changed. The shucks are no longer wild things that hunt in shadows. They are organizing. Growing. Hunting in packs. Even the strongest among us cannot face them alone.”

"Y-yeah, but the house was too small back then. The storage room was cozy." "Right, we were poor. Everyone was hungry." I felt nothing as I worked them over, leaving them bloodied and toothless. Rubbing my wrist, I said coldly, "Take them away. Don't let Kelsey see." Can't have my gentle, timid sister traumatized. How could I be a kind, upstanding, non-scary big brother otherwise? Turning toward the dining area, a burning sensation pricked my eyes—the sign of Lycan powers fading.

Eric was an older brother of Ezra and Ella, but he was always like a friend. He always tried his best to give everything his sister wanted but seeing her sobbing in pain, he felt he failed as a brother; he couldn't protect his sister enough. Ezra, a hot-tempered man, sees his sister crying as she loses her soul. He fisted both hands and suddenly turned to the main door. Eric understood what his brother wanted to do, so he caught Ezra's elbow tightly. "Don't," Eric said with a tense voice. "Brother, didn't you see how that man adorned my sister like she's some street woman? How can he do this to my sister?" Ezra said while grinding his teeth.

Maybe Olivia truly didn’t know borrowing his luck would make him so unlucky after all. Just then, Elric clapped his hands sarcastically. "What a touching sibling bond. I’m almost moved to tears. One brother is willing to give a third of his luck to his sister. And a sister willing to return the luck, knowing she’ll end up with all the bad luck instead. Truly, a good brother and a good sister. It’s practically heartwarming!" Brandon and Olivia both exchanged a glance, feeling a bit uneasy. “Why did Elric’s words sound so off?”

“Future warrior king, too. Don’t forget that part.” As Eric spoke, Emma fell silent. Nearby, students who had begun to get out of their classes stopped, overhearing the exchange and murmuring amongst themselves. In this school, Adrian Almond was the strongest warrior; not Eric, despite his prowess back in high school. For now, at least. Growing up, though, my brother had been the strongest warrior in our entire pack. He was, of course, the son of an Alpha. My father spared no expenses when it came to Eric’s training, and it was obvious.
