“Oh? Then how do you think I’m supposed to talk to you?” Ruby’s heart began to rise once more. It was not because she had a crush on Max, but because she was terrified. She tugged the Max’s shirt and whispered, “He is always that mean, so you had better not to piss him off. He likes to best when people flatter him.” Max then asked Mr. Frey, “I heard that you like people flattering you, right? Sorry, but that’s not something I had do.” Ruby’s hand trembled with nervousness. Then as she predicted Mr. Frey yelled something that could send shivers down every student’s spine, “Call your parents now!”

He almost roared, "There's no trace of my blood in you, you're the offspring of that slut Ruby, born from her affair with another man!" Bringing up this topic, Max seemed to reach his boiling point. His neck veins protruded, displaying extreme anger. His eyes bore into John intensely, as if trying to bore a hole through him. "I've been too lenient... I should've made you disappear from this world when you were born!! You damn it! You're simply damned!" Max's eyes were bloodshot. His hatred surged, almost drowning the man in front of him. "Ruby... that ungrateful slut... I treated her so well, gave her everything, but... but she still betrayed me and had this bastard child with another man!"

Retaining all my bad thing missing for some juncture too long. For the depravity minded cores, should be awaiting my godly outrage on them. All of them who presume they could deprive me of edge cause I desire Ruby to be happy. I want her to be more inhabitable but didn't ask for all this variety of lives I am living at this moment.

Ruby was laughing out loud on the inside because they were getting the taste of their own medicine and she hoped that brought some sense into them on how to deal with personal emotions and professionalism. They were a wreck, too stupefied to even talk. Luck was with Ruby that even their phones weren't going through to the modelling agency they were partnered up with. "We are doomed, we are done for," someone said, that worsened their state even further. It was hard for Ruby to keep a straight face. "I told you we shouldn't have gone that far with Sarte, the karma came back for us," Max said, growing out of his optimism, it was just 5 minutes to 5pm, the display time.

I asked. Maximus's dangerously smiling eyes stopped taking a tour of the room. And he said, “I am here to welcome you to the neighbourhood. I am glad we live close to each other now.” I could tell what he was trying to do and it would be stupid to let him continue. “Thank you for your welcome, you can leave now.” “That girl…” He crossed his legs. “I believe her name is Ruby. I learnt she lives not so far from here, I should perhaps visit her too. Compared to you, I am sure she would be more accommodating. What do you think?”

Jasper I caught Ruby before her body could hit the ground. Ruby looked pale, and I did not know what to do. "Is everything alright with your mate?" Maxwell asked, and I was confused, trying to wake her up. "She didn't sleep well, and we spent most of the morning packing. She must be exhausted," I said, not knowing what to do. Maxwell opened his fridge and took out a bottle of cold water. He poured it over Ruby's face, and she woke up. I held her to my chest, thanking the moon that she woke up. I was afraid and confused.

Ruby gradually came to from the shock. Seeing how Susan was torturing Timmy like that, she suddenly realized that this was not an act of ordinary revenge, but she wanted to kill them, so she screamed for help. Max saw that she was yelling for help and quickly covered her mouth. Ruby was shocked to see Max’s face clearly. “It’s you?”

Each clue led back to this scar of a place. A low growl rolled through the rubble behind her. Maxim. His presence was a dark gravity, steady and dangerous. He had argued to stay behind—trial politics still circled him like vultures—but when news of Ruby’s relics reached the council chamber, his eyes had gone wolf-bright. “If they resurrect her legend,” he had said, voice raw, “they resurrect the war.”

Ruby suits me just fine. After what feels like ages, I get immersed in work. People start requesting wine deliveries. I go back and forth from my office to the placement of the jars and supervising the employees. I still earn those same pitiful looks, and it won't excuse the fact that people are still going to talk to me about Ruby leaving me at the altar. Right now, my focus is on how to make the work faster and more productive. Max asks, wanting to know more about the story of Ruby leaving me at the altar. I have to give him a response to avoid his pestering.
