My brother’s sword is out of reach. His breath shakes. Kael’s voice is low, steady, final. “You never touch her again.” My brother swallows. He looks from Kael to me. Then Kael pushes him back and steps away, keeping his blade raised. “Leave,” Kael says. My brother hesitates. Kael doesn’t blink. My brother gets on his horse. The remaining riders pull back. They retreat into the dark as fast as they came. The gates slam shut. My legs give out.

Lilac’s POV He turns slightly to me, his face in a frown like I was a tick he couldn't wait to crush. "Big brother!" I cried out again and lunged at him. "It can't be!" Tears streamed down my face, and I tied myself to his torso in a tight hug. "It can't be!" I hugged him tight, refusing to let go. My big brother! After all these years, I thought he was dead. I thought he was killed by those men!

“You— you won’t get away with this.” Mira laughs. “Oh, darling. I already have.” Her hand rests on her stomach. “With our children in my custody… Khlan?" My breath catches. Alex freezes. Khlan steps forward, gun raised. Jason looks at Alex one last time. “I’m sorry, brother.” Bang. Jason goes still. Blood trickles from his forehead. I turn away and scream before I can stop it. Alex’s jaw tightens, and tears mists in his eyes. Mira sighs. “Don’t worry. You’ll join him soon.”

He came! I wanted to call out to him. But Nigel suddenly pulled on my hair again and gritted by my ear, “Look at him! Look at Alpha Gray! If you are the princess of Ever Moon Pack, it makes him your brother! Do you believe that yourself? Do you deserve a brother like that?!” I shivered while gazing at that familiar figure through tears. But Gray was my brother. The person who loved me the most on this planet. And nobody could deny that.

I thanked her and leaned back on the seat, waiting until we stopped. As everyone disembarked from the Escalade, I limped out, taking care not to put too much pressure on the leg with the cut. I looked up and saw, at the top of the stairs leading into the pack house, Alpha Marlon and a boy that looked like a carbon copy of me, only in the male persuasion. “Is that my twin brother,” I thought to myself, “I’m not only Luna Ashley’s biological daughter, but I am also a twin?” I just stood back a little and observed the loving, welcoming Luna Ashley received from the alpha and her son/my brother, Anthony.

"Whatever. Since you treated me pretty well these past few years, I'll make your death quick. I won't let you die miserably like your sister did." Adrian gripped the silver blade tighter and moved closer, step by deliberate step. The knife in his hand was the same one he'd used to kill me. "Want to know what your sister's final moments looked like?" Adrian's smile twisted into something manic. "Right here in this room. I cut off her limbs one by one so she couldn't shift and run. My brothers stood around watching her struggle, and I've got to say—your sister had guts."

"Damon Blackwood, I fell in love with my brother—yes, your most hated mortal enemy. Our bonding application has been approved by the Alpha Council. Now he can legally mark me, become my official mate, and be with me for life. Are you satisfied?" The words hit him like physical blows. His knees buckled, and only his grip on a nearby wall kept him upright.

"You, Jake Smith will go to the Moona pack as Rodriguez Wolf, you would continue to live there and find a mate in preparation to he the next alpha, and when the time is right, and I come back, you are to return to your normal human life as Jake Smith.
