I began to read a page and Travis went to flip the page to quickly and I reached down to stop him from flipping the page and my hand accidentally brushed his hand and chills went through my body to the tips of my toes and I turned to look at him and he was already looking at me.

That is when I learned that Zane was afraid of ghosts. At first, I thought it was funny, that Zane feared something that wasn’t real until I thought about it. If werewolves and other creatures were real, maybe ghosts were too. Thinking that, a chill ran down my spine, causing me to shiver. It wasn’t funny after all, because if ghosts were real, I would be afraid too.

The book had pictures of skulls with smoke coming off them, their eyes glowed red. Human bodies bent at strange angles. The pictures definitely resembled what I'd seen happen with the man in the forest and with Abby. Several different kinds of names were given, but demura wasn't one of them. There also wasn't any information on how they could be killed. "I think so."

She raised her hand and with her index finger she brushed the books, reading their titles. There were some that said "satanic pacts" others like "the call of the devil" "the forest and its hidden side" "small town legends" "werewolves and the full moon" and the last one said "Wisconsin Cases". Camila took out that last one, the book was big, it had a red cover with the image of the town itself. But that image was in black and white, as if it was taken years ago.

I cleared. "I am wondering." I chuckled nervously. "I wondered the same when my father told me about it, I was nine, I couldn't sleep then," "Haha, you were scared, I never get to hear one you know. But still, my eyelids are absolutely reluctant to close. As I lay there staring blankly at the ceiling, I suddenly remembered Javier’s collection of horror books. That’s right. A while back, I’d idly picked up one of his scary stories. Since I’m actually a scaredy-cat, every time I read one of those horror stories, I’d immediately be scared out of my wits and end up falling asleep from emotional exhaustion.
