His wrinkled face looked like it was crawling with countless wriggling worms. I shuddered and stepped back, whispering to Silvia, "Good thing I've got you. This place is terrifying." She snorted and suddenly shoved me forward, straight toward George. With an icy laugh, she said, "This pretty boy will make a great offering. You're going to love him." Before I could react, George gestured, and several eerie puppets stepped forward to pin me down and drain my blood. A sharp bell rang out, echoing through the night.

When I got to the hidden library, I scanned through the shelves and took three books that were about history and ancient creators, put them in my bag and headed for the door. But just as I was about to place my hand on the knob, a crash echoed through the room. My heart leaped into my stomach the same time i turned around and the sight i saw before me made mew freeze to my bones./ It took everything, every single thing in me, to not scream and yell…perhaps it was because I did not want to draw unnecessary attention from outside, or maybe I was just too scared to move a muscle let alone screaming. What the fuck?! There was a weird creature - the scariest thing I had ever seen - staring at me

The title sent shivers through me: 'Dark Powers, Secrets of the Werewolves'. I opened the book, and a strange glow emanated from the pages. I felt a sudden jolt, like a surge of electricity had passed through me. The room began to spin, and I fell to the ground, the book slipping from my grasp. As I struggled to get up, I heard the old woman's voice, urgent and worried. 'Ryker! Ryker, what's wrong?' She rushed into the room, her eyes scanning me frantically. Then her gaze fell upon the book, and her expression changed to one of alarm. 'Oh, no. You shouldn't have touched that.'

I wanted to read it at that moment but something was telling me otherwise. I badly wanted to read it but there was no way I could do that, it was just too complicated. Calming my nervous self I opened the book hoping he wouldn't see something that would scare the hell out of me. But who was I for the moon goddess that listened to my prayers? She had never listened to my prayers and I was sure of it. The first sentence I saw inside the book was no less horrifying than the first one. I would say it was on the same level and I was even more scared when I saw it.

" She said and I rolled my eyes slightly. “What do you think I am, 5?? I can't get scared from the letters in the pages of a book plus the real world is a lot scarier than any content that can be found in a book." I said and at that moment I thought about what nearly happened to me some days back. Almost getting raped is like a scene straight out from a horror movie, it's by far the most scariest thing I could think of and I am glad I was able to come out of it with only a bitter taste in my mouth and not an actual emotional scar that would last forever...

For a moment, he just stood there with furrowed brows, his orbs fixed on the cover. “Zombies are Real?” he read, tapping his fingers on the book. Taking a deep breath, he averted his gaze to the books seated next to them. Using his free hand, he grabbed one. “Supernatural Being.” With his lips curled, he scanned them from back-to-front cover. Immediately after, his mind drifted without prior warning. Something about the titles probed his guts. He just didn’t know what. Should he believe these zombies and supernatural beings were true? If not, how could he explain what he’d seen the night before?

With heavy feet and breathing, I went back for my book. Due to fright, I imagined various scary scenes. I imagined myself being pulled inside the cabinet and brought to the underworld. I imagined being strangled by the lady in red’s hair. I imagined a flying knife aimed my left eye. I shook my head and picked the book in haste. I turned around and saw through the corners of my eyes two hand prints on the floor. My heart beat wildly again. A creaking sound sounded from behind me. It was like a bomb in my ears that made me dashed out of the room and straight ahead the elevator.
