Long enough for me to remember who I was before I met him. Turns out, I actually like romance novels. Not the tasteful literary romances Kenneth approved of. I’m talking absolutely shameless books with shirtless men on the covers, morally questionable billionaires, ridiculous amounts of tension, and enough spice to qualify as attempted arson. The kind Kenneth used to wrinkle his nose at. “Those books rot your brain, Jo.” Funny. I don’t think the books were the problem. I’ve also rediscovered cheesy rom-coms and psychological thrillers, all the goodies that Kenneth never agreed to watch with me because they were “too stupid” (the romcoms) and “too complicated” (the psych thrillers).

He said whether sinister smile and I feel my cheeks become a tomato red like I’m giving a competition to a rose flower. We didn’t speak as he is enjoying my coffee and he offered sometimes to take a few sips but I denied. After few minutes of comfortable silence he again said. “Why you always read these kind of books and that too romantic novel….GOD, I hate romantic novels they are too clingy to read.” he made a disgusting face by looking at my rated novel. I smile looking at him making different faces and replied.

"Bring it on, vampire. I'm ready for anything." With a playful gleam in his eyes, Jonathan leaned in and captured my lips once again, this time with a mix of tenderness and mischief. Our laughter dissolved into a passionate embrace. At that moment, surrounded by the aroma of breakfast cooking and the warmth of our connection, I realized that our love was not just about the serious moments or the battles we faced. It was also about finding joy and laughter in the simplest of moments, cherishing the lightheartedness that kept our spirits alive.

Noah says with a sheepish smile. “You helping out a friend?” I ask him, discreetly hoping and not sure why I would want to know who he was getting the books for. “You could call her that.” Noah says with a shrug. A girlfriend. It's a good thing it's none of my business. “What kind of novels has she been reading in the past?” I ask, allowing my feet to lead me subconsciously to the romance aisle. “Romance.” Noah says and after further thinking, he adds, “with lots of smut scenes.”

"Awwnn...look at that....so sexy"says Nina whose attention is solely fixed on lovers showing affection and acting romantic toward each other. "Look at what?"Says Jane who was trying to figure out what it was that was making her friend trip. "The lovers ofcourse...just look at the romantic scene"she says blushing "Stop looking at them like that before they see you which will in turn make them uncomfortable". His sarcasm dripped off every word he uttered. They cheered loudly like cavemen, clamouring for some action. He left my side briefly and returned with a small bowl filled with liquid.

Jen sarcastically said. "The lid is the problem but not my fault, okay?" Loki muttered. Jen just steal her cup and close it with a lid quickly. "you are a weakling girl" Jen teased while giving back her shake drink. A woman started to smile and said "It’s looked like you both loved each other" . "Of course I loved him, though he keeps roasting me a lot. I accepted the way he is and I loved him" Loki confidently said. Jen began to pinched twice on her waist, while he was showing his embarrassing face. Jen hid his smiled with left hand.
