I called upon the Moonveil energy—the deep, cold, crystalline power that had been dormant for three millennia. I pulled it from the earth, from the river, and from the very marrow of my bones. The bridge exploded with white, silver light. It wasn't an explosion of heat; it was an explosion of presence. The air grew heavy, thick with the scent of ozone and ancient sovereignty. "Why 14 days though?" Another attendant asks. "I.. I.. say 14 days… be… because it takes 14 days for the moon goddess to go into a coma if anything happens to the moon." The attendant stutters shyly. "He is quite right, Mother Aele! According to the Book of the Moonicles, the moon goddess shall fall into a deep, unnatural sleep if the moon is absent for the space of 14 days." Darlene supports directly.

Upon them sat the deities, their presence radiant and commanding, their auras pulsing with the power of the cosmos. Her pale purple eyes sparkled, flecked with hints of silver—a distinct mark of being Moon-Kissed. Soon, she thought, her mate would see her as she saw herself: beautiful, unique, a prize worthy of any Alpha’s daughter.

Plus, all of his powers are not yet known. “This would be an abomination. The moon goddess herself would disapprove of this. She asks me, “Adelina has sent it and we just need to administer it to Michelle. She knows Nicholas has sent it to you. Luckily it is a wedding ceremony slated for this evening and the moon’s energy is at its peak today. The moment the moon appears in the sky, I will have to stab Michelle to death, that way I won’t be affected” My heart skips a beat as I hear her, all this start and end with the moon, I see. “So this concoction is to make her sleep?”

Damon still sat unmoving, his expression seemed absent but his mind wasn't. He knew Galilea was making the wrong move, he understood her plight. After all, Galilea was the one that had introduced him to Valerie. Valerie was Galilea's sister, they were the only siblings born of their parents before their death. He knew Galilea had liked him for ages and despite the failed bondings they've involved themselves into a long time ago, the Moon still didn't fate them both as mates.
