IRENE

IRENE

‘regards to him-‘ She read in her mind what he’d dared to say. “Mum-“ Zach interrupted her thinking. “What?” She responded at the clasp of her attention. “there’s a party tonight and i want to go. With a friend” He stammered weirdly, whilst his mum arched her brows at this development. They’d only been in Paris for three weeks and earlier today, she’d found him smiling at the walls, she knew it was a girl- -but she thought it was a girl from school, that the love capital of the world was in action, unbeknownst to her that it was one, they both couldn’t see- Irene. Katharina Stones, her real name.

The Goddess Vessel

The Goddess Vessel

The moon, full and heavy, was being drawn into a dance with a smaller, darker satellite-the lunar convergence had begun. The top of the spire was a wide, open platform ringed with intricate, arcane machinery. At its center stood a pillar of clear crystal, shot through with veins of pulsating crimson light. It was a focusing lens. A battery. My battery. Omega stood before it, his arms outstretched, his face upturned to the shifting heavens. He was chanting in a low, guttural language that grated against my bones. The technicians scurried, making final adjustments, their faces pale with awe and fear.

They asked me to follow them and turned to leave without giving anymore details. I paused for a second to think about it, but my instincts betrayed me. I followed behind them and walked into larger room, six times my size of room. A large portrait of the Alpha and a man and a woman behind him hung up in the wall. It grabbed my attention the moment I walked in. Everything about the room looked sophisticated. Obsidian carvings, an artwork that added life to the room, the floor was marbled, but somehow I could see my reflection almost clearly. The furnitures in the room and the private balcony stashed with vintage wines.

The Rogue's Secret Heir

The Rogue's Secret Heir

"Three large, double-decked war galleys bearing the silver leviathan banner have just passed the barrier islands. They’re anchoring in neutral waters, two miles off the harbor mouth." Kaelen took a slow sip of the tea, his dark amber eyes fixed on the distant grey horizon. "No heavy iron-clad cruisers? Just wooden galleys?" "Don't let the timber fool you," Elena said, pulling a brass spyglass from her belt and extending its lenses. She adjusted the focus, sighting the lead vessel. "The hulls are carved from deep-sea ironwood, reinforced with bronze plating along the waterline. They sit high in the water, light and remarkably fast. And each ship is equipped with four wide-bore ballista turret

explained Thalia, seating clumsily on the bed. "Let's not talk about that, love. The boys are waiting, and we need this moment. We need us. No work at least for now," snorted Gaby, asking for Thalia’s hand. "You took the engine, didn’t you?” "Yeah, I did. How did you know?" "I see the way you're holding your right hand. It aches," responded Gaby as they both led into the shower room. UNITED STATES (LA) Teca warehouses.

Queen Alpha

Queen Alpha

The King stuttered out. “Celeste saved my life by making me the Moon Goddess.” I said nonchalantly. Athos started to take a few steps towards me before I heard Koa let out a low warning growl. I held my hands up, one to each of them to tell them to both stop. “Do not come near me Athos. I have seen your true colors and you are…well words that a Goddess shouldn’t speak. As for you missy,” I turned to look at Koa, “You should know better. History will NOT repeat itself. Do you understand me?”

Great read! Especially for a new author. Interesting story that kept me engaged. Loved the slow introduction of characters that allowed me to get to know each one. However, if you are looking for steamy bedroom scenes, you will find this lacking.

Marina

I murmured. “Speak of the devil.” Detective baker frowned. I looked in the direction of where he was looking and saw a woman in a suit walking toward us. She had a friendly smile painted on her face, but I had a feeling we wouldn’t be the best of friends. “Detective Baker, long time no see,” she beamed. “I prefer it that way,” detective Baker grumbled. He still hadn’t returned her smile. So they must have some kind of history there. She looked at me. “You must be Marina Davis,” she said. “I am Special Agent Danna Halman. You can call me Danna or agent Danna.”

Tidal Souls

"My sis—my friend is helping." He picked up a welding torch and pointed it. "You're always such a difficult bitch—so stubborn." Galene stuck out her tongue. "I'll make it up to you—let's go for lunch tomorrow." "Don't tempt me with food." Liam picked up a small glass sculpture that looked like seaweed or possibly the beginnings of an octopus? Galene rubbed her forehead–she was obviously ocean-obsessed, seeing sea creatures everywhere. Liam fired up the torch. She stood and raised her voice. "I'd better get back home—for breakfast."

The Alpha's Touch: Revival of the Eastern Kingdom

The Alpha's Touch: Revival of the Eastern Kingdom

She answered with a smile. “You know, my dear Accashia… the former Luna — the Queen Galathea could see souls too.” Luntian said with a smile as she served a big bowl of rabbit stew in front of Accashia. The young woman was delighted with such a savory scent. She let out a sound of delight and grabbed the bowl though it’s still hot. As she blows on the hot stew, Accashia said, “Galathea is the name of Calleb’s mother, right? And… she can see souls too?”

A Gift from the Goddess

A Gift from the Goddess

Time was of the essence when it came to possible war. I managed to get ready very quickly but took a few moments to look at the mark for myself. It was silver and in the shape of two crescent moons facing outwards, the symbol of Selene, the Goddess. The nurse that was helping me change even gasped a little when she saw it, but I tried to ignore her.

I just finished reading this story, and I have to say: I am speechless. This is the first story on this app that has completely captivated me. Finally, there are fresh, new plot elements—instead of the usual clichés you read on this app time and time again.
