She took the game pad from him and used the opportunity to overtake him, her face beaming with smiles.

We stared at them for a while before sighing. " And that's how you deal with bitches...." Ariana muttered victoriously. " By giving them a taste of their own medicine." I glanced at her and smiled. She did too. " Pound it." We said together as we made a fist bump. Game over.

The nerves are starting to kick in. I am hit with the scent of lemongrass when I walk into Onyx’s room. There are three tables set up for us to get massages. It smelled of ozone and damp marble. The Onyx Guard had dug in. They were not using kinetic rifles or energy pikes. They had deployed heavy tripods mounted with sleek, white cannons. The devices hummed with a frequency so high it made my inner ear throb. "Shields up!" Neoma shouted. Her voice was a rough rasp.
