My crossed fingers fall apart and I move away from the car. “No! No fucking way! You didn’t play fair! You have his number. You cheated.” I scream, exasperated. “There’s no such thing as playing fair.” “In what messed up world did you get that, huh?” I yelled, reeling with aggression. “In my world, love.” ** A/N: Thoughts on the second chapter? She had been betrayed once before, and she refused to let it happen again. As she walked out of Ethan's life, Lily felt a sense of sadness but also a sense of relief. She knew that she had made the right decision, and that she was finally free to find someone who would truly love and respect her. She had learned that sometimes, "a second chance with someone new was the best thing you could ask for".

“What is it Noelle?” “Am very sorry to disturb you on your trip outside the city sir. But I've just got a call from the hospital. The girl is awake sir.” Kane heard Noelle over the phone and he couldn't help but recall how he ran her over with his car. For the first time he got scared of almost commiting murder. A heavy sigh of relief left his lips before he closed his eyes for a second.

No whispers crawling through the air. The Game is over. Kael exhales beside me, a long, disbelieving breath. He looks down at his hands like he expects chains to still be there. Then he looks at me. “What do we do now?” he asks quietly. The question hangs between us. For the first time in countless lifetimes, there is no script. No trials. No goddess waiting to punish the wrong choice. Just us. I lace my fingers through his. “We live,” I say.

“Yes. I think I have nothing to gain staying here.” “Please think again.” “ I have. But I’ve also decided to give it one more chance. I’m hoping things will get better. Dan was pleased and relieved. “How about a toast?” He asked. They toasted. “And since we are making a fresh start, let’s promise to be open and honest with each other and not let other people influence us.” He said. Adele raised her eyebrows. “Wow! That is really shocking coming from you.” “What does that mean?”

I had to wake up, I had to get back to him. Tommy. But the darkness pressed down harder, pulling me deeper. I fought against it with everything I had, trying to will my eyes to open, but they stayed stubbornly shut. The silence was overwhelming, except for Richard’s voice, pleading, begging for me to come back. I’m trying, Richard. I’m trying so hard. And then, another thought surfaced, one that brought a fresh wave of despair. God, why did You give me a second chance? Why let me live again, only to take it all away?

I try again to mind link him with no answer. I hear footsteps down the hall coming towards my door. I quickly stand as tall as possible, which is hard because I am so tired and my legs barely hold me up anymore. I have to though; I refuse to show him any sign of weakness. The door opens and in walks Shane, his signature smirk and a rose. Since she was back with her family she had to go to a school where only the most important and richest people could go. I felt a bit more relaxed knowing that the game took place during the modern-day so I wouldn’t have to worry about dealing with a different era. I know that there are a total of five love interests, one of them being a hidden character. I was just getting to the hidden character route before... I can’t remember what happened to me. Did I die?
