Ash widened his eyes as he took a step in the Wausau Municipal Airport for the first time. He felt his whole world freeze as he took in the whole surrounding. The horrible vestiges the Black Clan left. The whole airport was covered by black smoke and a hole. As if there had been an asteroid that fell from the heaven and landed in this very same place, erasing its whole existence from the earth.

It was a small plane, not like the one they used when flying to France but it was going to do the job. "Where are we going?" Maya asked, because nobody was telling her anything. "Safe house" Reid mumbled, pouring himself a double whisky on the rocks. "Oh" was Maya's response as she looked out of the window. The plane ride was approximately two hours long as soon as they landed a big black SUV was waiting for them at the landing strip. Grabbing all their belongings the Dawson clan followed by Maya made their way into the sleek black car. Once everyone was inside the driver took off at a speed that surely would have had traffic cops on their ass but to Maya's surprise no cop followed.

Black Garuda practically carried Arka and lowered him into the underground space. Calista followed with trembling steps. Black Garuda went last. The moment his body disappeared— BRAAAK! A massive slab collapsed, and the entrance was completely sealed.

Security hauled groaning Rourke, chopper thrum vibrating walls distant. Night air whipped savage as rotors clawed sky, Kenji carrying me aboard a black Hawk sleek, Manhattan's veins blurring below. His arms steel bands, scent smoky citrus cutting blood tang, obsidian eyes locked mine unblinking. "Mine," he murmured, gravel velvet promise amid engine roar. Penthouse lights swelled beacon, empire's crown awaiting.

Momo muttered, blood oozing from his mouth. I gazed at Billy and Kate, who slowly crawled out of the layers of blocks. Their eyes were all white, pleading for a way out of their calamity. “Everyone get behind me.” Pastor Timothy commanded. They scrambled, hoping to get themselves next to the high and mighty Pope Timothy. Kate got herself out of the block, her bones making crackling sounds as she lay on the floor. They stepped back, wondering how a child had managed to crawl all the way out despite the layers of concrete weighing them down.

Forty-five minutes later, I parked my Audi in the shadow of Hangar 4. A sleek, black Gulfstream jet sat on the tarmac, its engines idling with a low whine. A man stood at the bottom of the stairs, flanked by two bodyguards in suits. Even from a distance, Noah Blackwood was intimidating. He was taller than Liam, broader in the shoulders. He wore a charcoal suit that cost more than my car, no tie, the top button of his shirt undone to reveal a hint of tan skin. His dark hair was swept back, sharp and severe.

Mia laughs. I close my eyes, listening for anything to appear and attack me as I drop, sliding down a hill of sorts. I fall on my butt as I came to a stop, a sign that says “run”. I hear a growl behind me, “oh you have to be fucking kidding me!” Mia growls. A damn bear! That witch would put not only a bear but a massive monstrous one in my training! I dig my heels into the ground as I take off sprinting away from the bear. What feels like an hour of running was probably only 20 minutes, my lungs are ready to cave in before the door appears open, as I run through it and it slams shut behind me. “How was it?” Sirena appeared.
