Gift Of the Heart

Gift Of the Heart

guess you've just liberated my life- thank you I'll forever be grateful. "it's okay don't worry. But remember act normal and continue addressing me as ma'am," their dartling eyes followed in a giggle. "...everyone has a past and mistakes, skeletons we prefer hidden, shadows we're afraid of and voices we become slaves to_ but the golden key is not to envy anyone as you grow old. And so I would like to say am grateful you came in to the world cause you make mine, your mother's and siblings world beautiful." Bomul's last speech at the party had Cadeau dancing with a belly full of fireflies butterflies were not lit enough to describe her emotions

All Grown Up

All Grown Up

What exactly did he think I was going to find back in the small towns and fields of North Carolina anyway? “Of course you can come home!” Mom said excitedly, and I could tell that she was beaming. “When will you be here?” “I’ll send you all the flight details,” I said, trying not to sigh too heavily. I got off the phone and booked my flight for two days later, going so far as to book it in business class. If the Academy was going to reimburse me, then they could bite the cost. The director didn’t even blink when I went in to his office the next day and showed him the details. Instead, he just nodded and filled out the paperwork for me to have the cost reimbursed as part of my next paycheck.

My Generous Support, My Starving Son

My Generous Support, My Starving Son

I'm busy with a project abroad, so I leave my six-year-old son, Anthony Lynch, in the care of my father-in-law, Stephen Shenton. I send him 2,000 dollars a month for living expenses, with additional money for holidays and special occasions. Every time Stephen video-calls me, he tells me Anthony is eating and sleeping well. On camera, there are always fish, shrimp, and beef in front of him. So, when his homeroom teacher, Davina Walker, calls me and says Anthony fainted from hunger during PE class, my first thought is that she called the wrong number. I fly back home overnight and rush straight to the hospital. The doctor tells me that Anthony has been suffering from long-term malnutrition.

A Gift for My Brother's Eighteenth Birthday

A Gift for My Brother's Eighteenth Birthday

After surviving a kidnapping and being diagnosed with severe PTSD, I became the family's top priority. Every sharp object and glass item in the house was removed. The furniture was wrapped in thick foam padding, until not a single hard edge remained. My parents canceled all business trips. News broadcasts and violent movies were banned from the house. To help me feel safe, they even forced my younger brother, who had just earned a full scholarship to a top university, to stay home and keep me company around the clock. Everything changed on the night of my brother's lavish eighteenth-birthday celebration. When fireworks erupted across the sky without warning, I hallucinated instantly and grab

A Heart Given Wrong

A Heart Given Wrong

"I was just… I had a momentary lapse of judgment! I wanted success too badly. I wanted to give you a better life." "Give me a better life?" I grabbed her chin, forcing her to meet my eyes. "Yvonne, do you have any idea how powerful I am? To me, Singer Tech is nothing but a speck of dust. The investment you worked so hard to secure was something I could've easily provided with just one word. "You were willing to sacrifice me just to curry favor with Zoey. Do you even realize that if I wanted to, the Malcom family could disappear from this world by tomorrow?"

Her Last Gift

Her Last Gift

His gaze felt like an X‑ray, as if he wanted to look straight through me. I did not look away. I met his gaze with a numb calm. After a long silence, he smiled and pulled his hand back. He tossed the burn ointment onto the nightstand. “Fine. Go. But you must return on February sixteenth. It is my birthday. I want you to give yourself to me as a gift.” He leaned close to my ear, and his teeth brushed my earlobe. “You need to be clean and fresh.” I pushed down the nausea in my stomach and nodded. “Okay.”

GIVING HIM A SECOND CHANCE

GIVING HIM A SECOND CHANCE

Sasha POV I’ve always had the belief that to influence people is actually very busy, especially at a time where they are either grieving, confused or just desperate for someone to lay blames on. And at this moment, the pack is all three of those emotions. I stroll through the pack house hall, while trying to keep my expression perfectly solemn—chin lowered, lips pressed together, eyes softened with the right touch of sympathy. Everyone thinks grief turns people inward. They forget that it’s also able to open them up, makes them hungry for answers, for stories, for who to make as villains.

The Last Gift

The Last Gift

- Jane's POV I was watching TV when the door to my hospital room opened. "Why are you here?" I asked. It was my biological father, Jeremy Ziegler. I felt both scared and disgusted when I saw him. He smirked and looked me up and down. "What do you think I'm here for? Money. I need ten thousand dollars. I'm out of cash. "If I hadn't dumped you at the orphanage, how would you have ended up with the Smith family?"

GIVE ME EVERYTHING

GIVE ME EVERYTHING

“I love you, Darius… I loved you from the first time I laid my eyes on you. And because of what I feel for you, I can’t let you hurt yourself anymore. I want to help you get rid of this weight that crushed your soul all these years… Let me take this pain away from you… I don’t mind it… I’m used to it. So, give me everything, my precious darling! Give me all your sorrow, all your hurt, all your hate. If this is what it takes for you to start living your life with no more thoughts about this absurd revenge, then I’ll take it all without flinching.” Alannah wiped the tears from her face and put her hands on Darius’s hands. This time he didn’t push her away. This was it… He was letting go… Final

Another amazing book by Emma Swan. I really enjoyed it. This book is well written, but could use another pass at editing. It's edited very well compared to other books in the app, but compared to her other books, which are usually perfect, it needs a bit of editing. Other than that, it's perfection.
