Georgia looked at Regina, then she shrugged, "I don't understand, Mom." Then Georgia told Regina everything. "When I was little, my aunt, Empress Grazia, slandered my mother so she was exiled to the village. After my mother was exiled, my aunt married my father, Emperor Edmund," said Georgia. "My aunt was then made empress and had three children from my father. She was an evil empress and hungry for power," continued Georgia. Regina listened to Georgia's story while trying to digest what she was saying. "One day, my brother and I drank wine for dinner. Then after we drank the wine, we were sick and unconscious," said Georgia.

Chapter 76 - Spared for a Reason As the sun finally dipped below the horizon, the village came alive. Wooden instruments, hand carved and beautifully worn from use, were brought out. The deep, resonant sound of drums echoed through the air, accompanied by the light notes of flutes and a harp like instrument made from wood and twine. The music was soothing yet lively, and it stirred something deep within Georgia. For a moment, she let herself be lost in it, the rhythm of the village, the warmth of the fire, the laughter of the people, and a smile slowly spreading on her face. And from a distance, unbeknownst to her, the Chief was watching her like she was a star from above.

he said quietly, “but I’ve spent years studying local folklore and spiritual practices in our region—partly out of personal interest, partly because students and their families often come to me with these kinds of problems during counseling. It’s vacation season now, so I have time to help you properly.” Eloise studied him with fresh eyes, a quiet astonishment blooming beneath her worry. She had always known George as the patient, reliable boyfriend—the one who taught literature and mathematics to village teenagers, the one who brought small gifts and offered steady words of encouragement. Never once had she imagined he carried hidden knowledge of restless spirits, substitutions, and the dan

"Another elder invited me to his house. He told me that the people of Ohanta have done everything within their power to reduce the number of virgins that disappear from the community every season. This includes marrying their daughters off at a very young age, paying the men handsomely to accept brides that are not their choices. As I was coming back from his house, I heard a strange sound in a nearby bush. I took a closer look and was horrified. The bulls have come for me. They stood and gave me a prolonged gaze as if they were trying to tell me that my time has finally come. "The folklore is about to become a reality," I whispered to myself.

So much time passed she worried about her baby. “Excellent idea. Let’s hope she’ll talk to us. Before we go through anything else in that book we should worry about?” Greta didn’t want to remind Gabby that they still didn’t know who performed the ritual that put the curse in place. “It talks of the fair folk a lot and to appease them always. They still pass those traditions down from generation to generation, and we put it right into the traditions of the inn, so it becomes a unique part of the visit. There’s also talk about spirits and ghosts. Like they are two different things.”

It was blurry to her memories because she was too young to comprehend and too confused about who to listen to. Her grandma often told her not to roam to the woods alone, especially at night, she taught at a tender age that all monsters were evil spirits walking on earth just to prey on the weak. She learned from grandma about her tribe who told her they were vicious and inclining on them wouldn’t give her a good future. Like she didn’t even know if she had a future in siding with mankind. In a heavy sigh, Georgette idly took a walk to the gully to pick herbs and flowers to brew for her homemade fragrant soap when she passed on two familiar women, engrossed in their chat, laughing.
