That day was another one of those crazy, busy days at the office. I was rushing to get off work when I received an extremely urgent email from my usually cold and arrogant boss, Jared Princeton. Just as I was about to dismiss the email, Jared called and began pressing me to settle the issue immediately. Fine. I was only going to do it because he was the one who paid for my payroll, nothing more. I angrily booted up my computer again and stared at the email. I didn't know what kind of contract had been attached to it, but there were so many words that I didn't even want to read it.

I sank to the floor, tears streaming down my face, as the full weight of my predicament crashed down upon me. As I sat at my worn-out desk, desperately scrolling through my G***l inbox, my heart skipped a beat. There it was, a glimmer of hope amidst the sea of unpaid bills and looming debts. An email with the subject line "Job Interview Invitation." I couldn't believe my eyes. A mixture of excitement and nervousness coursed through my veins as I read the details. That has always been my favorite place in the whole house. I decided to make a simple, English breakfast as I didn't want to spend much time in the kitchen this morning. My phone rang, distracting me as I made pancakes. I turned off the gas before checking it. It was an unknown number so I was confused as I picked it up. “This is Reign Abbot speaking.” “This is the HR department of Ever Light Publications. On getting home I went to the kitchen first and brought out the pies and cakes I got from the cafe, made myself a cup of tea went to my couch, got comfortable, and dived into my food.
