​The Ghost-Archive ​"They’re ghosts, Aara," I realized, touching the flickering wall. The static reacted to my "Presence," momentarily forming the shape of a face, a city, a line of alien script, before dissolving back into chaos. "This is what happens when you don't ground your story in the stone. You become a 'Residual-Echo.'"

"There's no way I was the only one seeing ghosts!" Tang and Sawyer, who'd clearly been eavesdropping, finally spoke up. "Ghosts?" Sawyer asked, his voice low and serious. "What ghosts?" Tang, who had been leaning against the wall like nothing could bother him, suddenly perked up. "Wait. Ghosts? Are we talking European phantoms? Japanese yūrei? Or like, vengeful brides in white?" His eyes lit up like he'd just found a whole new season of his favorite horror show.

I sat there for a long time, trying to digest everything. It turned out my ghost housemate used to be a legend at the company that I now worked at. I shut my laptop, my feelings all tangled up. I asked, "So, you're only stuck here because of the car accident… Is that it?" After a long silence, Ivy's voice echoed faintly in my head. It was soft and almost drifting. "It wasn't an accident." My heart lurched. Before I could ask anything else, her voice faded away.

”I believe it's a ghost that possessed her? "So it's a ghost which possessed her," I asked. "Yes, i believe so," she answered me. She moved toward the bookshelf, pulling down a thin, leather-bound volume that looked like it hadn't been opened in a century. "You know how spirits linger until what anchors them is gone?" I nodded to that. It was basic lore—every shifter knew that ghosts needed a reason to stay in the physical world.

“You mean the hauntings?” Seraphina leaned in, curious. “I think I heard a little about that. What exactly is going on?” I nodded and took another sip of juice. “Some of the servants say they see ghostly figures floating around the estate at night. Pale shapes moving through the gardens or near the windows. A few have even heard soft whispers when no one is there. Everyone is quite scared and shocked by it.” Zoe shivered a little even though the day was warm. “Do you think ghosts are real? I have never seen one, but my mother used to tell stories about spirits that could not rest.”

Hi, I’m new here! Like, I was approved just earlier. I joined here because I love reading ghost stories. I know I don’t have a third eye, but I had several experiences about ghosts. However, it doesn’t really bother me that much at all. Actually, I really just want to read some ghost stories as a way to lull myself to sleep. But while I was reading, I felt encouraged to talk about my previous experience. I’m just going to share it, okay? It doesn’t bother me at all. Actually, I’ve been amazed by it back then and it hasn't changed even now. I hope you enjoy it too.

"Well we couldn't find him this morning, we thought you sent him to the after life." "But I didn't, and that's what bothers me. He never skips a day, and ghosts don't get sick so easily." Now she could tell what that feeling that bothered her was, it was a feeling of Deja vu, a feeling that she couldn't get rid of, someone had gone missing again. "We've heard rumors about missing ghosts in the zone, you think they kidnapped Dexter." A little girl cried. "But that would mean we aren't safe." "What should we do?" One by one, the people whispered amongst themselves in fear, Autumn felt worried, if she had been a little more closer with them then she would had noticed when this would happen.

A few of the more fragile pieces appeared, cracked or broken. “Eddie, I’m sorry. I don’t know what happened here. I don’t have pets for this reason. I promise you, I didn’t do this.” Hailey looked about the room and picked up a miniature Victorian sofa with its broken leg. She’d fallen in love with the little thing and now harboured the wish to have a full-sized version one day. “I know you didn’t. This isn’t about us. I think it’s between the spirits and the fae. There’s something very odd going on. People have come into the inn to speak with Gabby over the last few days. Many of them with messages from ghosts.”

They were images of blackened houses, broken bodies, and trembling survivors murmuring in fear. “They said they saw… shadows with horns,” Eden whispered. “They said the shadows walked through fire and didn’t burn. They tore through flesh like paper. One old man said he saw a child disappear in the blink of an eye. There was no blood. No scream. Just… gone.” Sophia paled. Her fingers trembled as she reached into the folds of her robe and pulled out a tattered, leather-bound grimoire. She flipped the pages quickly. “I’ve read this before,” she muttered,. “Long ago. When I was a child. The signs… horned shadows, vanishing people, soulless fire. It’s not mortal.”
