Now you say if it is haunted. Which is it?” “I don’t rightly know for sure. I’m not an expert with ghosts.” Adam grabbed the coffee pot and a cup. “I say we give the guy a chance. Lord knows, I’m not worth a salt when it comes to spirits.” Melody looked at her father with raised brow. “Do you think it’s haunted too, father?”

I whispered, my words slipping through the air like a sharp blade. Her face paled, and her hands trembled as the realization washed over her. Samantha, the ghost from our past, a specter we had long thought banished to the depths of forgotten memories. Yet here she was, resurfacing like a vengeful spirit, intent on wreaking havoc upon our fragile existence. I moved swiftly, my hands still feverishly gathering our belongings, tying up loose ends. It was a race against time, against the shadow that loomed ominously over us. I refused to let Samantha's malicious intent extinguish the fragile flame of hope that burned within our hearts.

Christopher and Zyter exchanged a fierce glance, their determination unshakeable. Suddenly, the tranquility shattered as the Blood Ghosts emerged from the darkness. They materialized before the hunters, their red eyes glowing with malice. The sight sent shivers down Christopher's spine, but he steadied himself, gripping his sword tightly. The Ghosts were relentless, their numbers seemingly endless.

ZEPHYR’S POV “Yes, there are two of our ghosts who are not with us now.” “Do they have names?” I asked him. “N….” He paused, rethinking his reply again. Then he said. “We go by one name, Ghost. Any other name aside this, I am unaware of it. I know it seems undutiful for me to not have this simple information but sometimes our ghosts tend to break out of character and hence get themselves into scenarios that end up leaving them with souvenirs like names, tattoos, tags.”

He drove with purpose, and I, like a phantom shadow, drifted along in his wake. I followed him as he made his rounds in a department store, buying things he had never once considered buying for me. It wasn't hard to see the distinction between love and indifference. My ghostly form seemed to grow heavier with every step, weighted down by the bitterness of seeing the man I had loved so deeply pamper another woman so thoroughly.

He stretched his hand for a handshake, and I took it. He has a firm grip, but his hands are cold, so fucking cold, just like Echo’s touch. “I am sorry to ask but are you a…” “Ghost? Absolutely.” He answered before I could even complete my questions, that explains why they can both see each other but does this mean that I can see all ghosts because I initially thought that I could only see Echo. “We met yesterday when she was sad and alone and we have been friends since then.” I feel terrible that I put her in that position, but I am glad she’s okay and she’s back. Adrian though, he is different. He is actually cooking, touching and holding things, how is that even possible.

Ghost’s voice, weak but alive: “…Still here…”

The ghost had spoken. And he was real.
