I looked at the documents again,at the cold lines of text describing a man who had destroyed his own pack, then survived what should have killed him. “We’re not dealing with a professor,” I said quietly. “We’re dealing with a ghost.” Ares replied without hesitation. “A ghost who wants our mate.” My nails dug into my palms, wolf clawing under my skin. “Then he’s already dead,” I growled. “He just doesn’t know it yet.”

They looked like the wreckage of someone else's life. I started to clean house. Not by packing, but by destroying. Wedding photos, souvenirs from our travels, the love letters he'd written… I threw them all into the fireplace. Finally, I picked up the miscarriage certificate. I tossed it into the flames. "Goodbye, my baby. Mama's going to start a new life now." When the fire had consumed the last of my past, I picked up a can of gasoline. This house was full of ghosts. Better to burn them all and give myself a clean slate.

"Yes, I'm the witness!" The entire office was suddenly in an uproar, looking at Mara standing at the entrance of the office in bewilderment. "Isn't she Jack's wife? Gosh!" "If his wife says so, it must really be true!" Ian said smugly, "Jack, even your wife reported you. What do you have to say about that?" I was not surprised by Mara's appearance. In my previous life, Mara appeared right in the nick of time, just when the entire office was suspecting me of crimes I did not commit, to give the final fatal blow.

His words began to slur, spilling out in a messy, confused rush. “There… there was a man. In Halton. Right after we moved to the glass house.” He took another gulp, the whiskey burning a path down his throat. “He was called… the Ghost. He wanted to kill us. Zhedya… he took care of it. He killed him, right in front of me. I didn’t want him to though but he was behind my memory loss then so…” Miller’s fingers tightened almost imperceptibly on his neck. “The Ghost? Do you know his real name?”

The white lady agreed, “It’s not like she did this to me. My husband did.” “You heard her.” K Whatever shrugged and followed the woman ghost. Garfield was astounded and just shook his head, trying to catch up with them. “You’re such a weird reaper, man.” One of the three ghosts who came along to watch commented the same. “Yeah, where’s your common sense?” The other laughed as he said this. Garfield ignored them and rolled his eyes. There's no way this plan will work, and he has no idea what Player 7 is up to. Nonetheless, he listened to her for a while to see where things would go from this.

“Haha! Do you think what you are? Your wife is never as good as my wife! Never!” “You dare disparage my wife, don’t you? Do you want to fight? “I’ll never fight with you. Pure will disparage me if I do that. The elderly will never fight with urchins!” “...” Pure was very uncomfortable because of their argument. She called the maid next to her: “ Go there and find the reason why they scream too much like that because they ruined the face of our Galaxy Trade Union.” Not only the Galaxy Trade Union’s face but also her face.

I'm not sure if my brother's death had anything to do with it but I'm grateful for the charity all the same. I still feel shaky and just want to go to bed but I can't. What bed would I go to anyway? I need to find Aunt Kelly. I actually hope Uncle John is okay because it feels like my life, hell, my reality is spinning out of control. The storm. The lightning. The fire. The cemetery. The Watchman... I mean, what the hell is going on? Am I cursed? I walk up to the lady behind the receptionist's desk. She's busy typing something on a computer and doesn't even look up.

Jason looked genuinely puzzled. Avoiding his gaze, Liora explained, "We don't do that. We call male ghosts 'dark souls' and female ones 'phantom queens'. And guess what? You've got yourself a phantom queen right beside you. Looks about 20, long hair, and, oh, bleeding from the wrists." Jason's face went through a sudden transformation. "Seriously, Liora? Are we playing games now?" Liora rolled her eyes, sizing up Jason like he was the slowest kid in class. "Fine, let me break it down. Why do you go visit your dead relatives' graves?"

She found a suitable hiding spot and pressed her ears against the wall to eavesdrop. Soon, she heard Louis asking, "You're saying that the late Mr. Warde Senior owned some shares in Harper Corporation, and he left Ginny a part of it before he passed away? Oh, and five percent of Warde Corporation's shares as her wedding gift? "Alright, I got it. Don't let anyone else know about this." What? Ginny not only inherited Warde Corporation's shares, but also Harper Corporation's as well? Was it true? Judging by Louis' reaction, it had to be.

Amethyst POV "They've returned," Nyka stated as she reverted to human shape from her Werewolf form. "I've been looking forward to this day for the past 21 years. Let them all return to where their deaths were predetermined," I said, fists clenched. She stood behind me, holding the photographs of my parents. My parents were a couple of royal Werewolfs. Yes, we exist in today's world, but we must remain hidden. Simply because there are people who are dangerous because they are selfish, greedy, and unthankful. They would either kill us or poach us because of our abilities. My parents once controlled the Kingdom of the Werewolfs. However, it was their responsibility to protect the priceless gem
