Yes Alaister you don't like him!" and with that she threw me a pillow Hahahaha. We talked about music and other kinds of stuff until Aunt Ana came with our food so we ate first. "Alaister do you believe in ghosts?" I asked Alaister, now that she was lying down in our bed. "Did you watch a horror movie last night? Then I would say that there are no ghosts and I do not believe in ghosts." Wow! It doesn't seem like she can see ghosts hmm. Yes she can see ghosts but she doesn’t want to tell to other people about that.

With me tucked in his arm, he turned and walked with me out of the room. We walked for a moment longer until we reached a set of stairs. I could hear talking on the floor below. It looked like a basic two-story house and when we got to the bottom floor we were in a cozy-looking living room which was mainly lit by candles. I saw Patty sitting on the couch with a few others and I don’t think any of them had noticed us yet because their conversations continued. “I think this girl is going to cause us some problems,” I heard Patty saying to the others in a hushed whisper. “We need to be wary of her. I’m not sure why Lucias was so persistent on having her here…”

It has a fifties feel to it when you see the vintage records and old posters hanging on the walls. “Hey, kiddo,” Patsy greets me with a warm smile from where she stands behind the counter. Patsy is a sweet lady in her mid-sixties I think, not that I would ever ask. She is a petite woman about five foot three inches with light brown hair that she always keeps in a tight bun. One of the best things about Patsy is no matter what time of day it is she is always in a good mood. I do enjoy working with her. “ How are you enjoying the first snow?” Patsy asks.

When they had arrived at the station, Jodi wasn’t walking fast enough for Marty, so he scooped her up in the parking lot and carried her in. The rookie and Patty were knocked out cold when they had arrived. The pale man, who Jodi learned later was called Ghost, was walking down the hall towards them. He had on an orange jumpsuit. The conversation played out in Jodi’s mind. “I told you, Paul. Ghost got captured because he wanted to be. He already took care of the pests,” Marty bragged as he held Jodi in his arms. “You have time to figure out which office is Kirby’s?”

I grimaced and stared back at Layla waiting for her to get to us. They soon got to us and Layla pulled me into a bear hug. “Hey, you! What are you doing standing out here by the gates?” She exclaimed as she pulled away. She gave Patty a stern look as she eyed her from head to toe. “Did you replace me already?” She asked. I winced. Trust Layla to be tactless sometimes. I stole a look at Patty beside me and she just looked amused. “Hi, I'm Patty. Nat has been telling me all about you. She wouldn't shut up actually.” Patty said with a laugh.

Patty grinned and said, “OK then, let's goan see the sexy bitch.” “Bitch? That appears to be an unfitting name,” Carmen said, and tried to zip her bag. “You got your main strap and your skimpiest swimsuit in there?” Patty said. Darn it all, she could have done without anybody knowing her so well. “I don't own any of those,” she said. Patty squinted her right eye and crushed her lips to the left. “Right, presumably don't also own a vibrator.” “Vibrator, what's that?”

Slowly, she heard a knock on the door as she could see Patty sticking her head in before she entered fully. She had a petite frame and she was a bit skinny but pretty. She was in her early twenties, she had long blonde hair, a tanned skin and she was wearing a casual shirt and a straight skirt. “What took you so long?” Brixlee muttered as Patty rushed to her side. Patty threw her a thin smile. “I’m so sorry, I got caught in traffic. We still have five minutes. I’ll set up the live audio thingy while you rehearse” she said as she slowly brought out some cable and connecting the headphones.

He stretched his hand for a handshake, and I took it. He has a firm grip, but his hands are cold, so fucking cold, just like Echo’s touch. “I am sorry to ask but are you a…” “Ghost? Absolutely.” He answered before I could even complete my questions, that explains why they can both see each other but does this mean that I can see all ghosts because I initially thought that I could only see Echo. “We met yesterday when she was sad and alone and we have been friends since then.” I feel terrible that I put her in that position, but I am glad she’s okay and she’s back. Adrian though, he is different. He is actually cooking, touching and holding things, how is that even possible.

She snapped, irritated. "Hedley Hart, are you mute now?" "County Clerk's Office." Silence. Then that tiny gasp—like she just remembered her own promise. The deal: after ninety-nine rejections, she'd show up for the hundredth. Say yes. Instead, she'd gone to a concert with Pierre. "I... wait for me. I'll drive over." Click. End call. I canceled the ride. Not out of hope though. Snow started falling—hard and fast.
