he nods smiling and whispers “This is going to be luxurious…” We reach the stairs that lead to the lower floors of the mansion, the place where I live is a huge mansion with about 3 visible floors, made of tempered glass, it is really luxurious, elegant and minimalist to a certain extent, I am a simple guy but with good taste, it has everything a mansion should have, swimming pool, garage, kitchen, gym, recreation areas, it is a mansion and as ironic as it seems I like the light, at least here, even though I live in a world of darkness.

​The Neutral Zone was a chaotic, beautiful riot of flickering neon and stagnant filth. The heavy, cloying smell of cheap synthetic meat and ionized ozone filled the stagnant air, creating a sharp, sickening contrast to the crisp scent of pine and damp earth we had left behind in the forest. We pushed our way into The Den, a notorious sub-level bar where the bass from the music was loud enough to vibrate the very bones in my chest. The patrons here were mostly ghosts of their former selves, too high on "Glow"—a terrifying new street drug made from distilled, illegally harvested wolf-blood—to even care who walked through the heavy iron door.

The air in the Ghostwood was thick with the scent of rain and decay, the dense trees closing in around us like ancient sentinels. A full moon hung low in the sky, casting a red light over the land, bathing the world in an eerie, blood-hued glow. The kind of moon you only saw in prophecies and nightmares. The kind of moon that made my heart race with a mix of dread and anticipation.

“Are you gonna tell us why you seem like you’re going to burst out of excitement or…?” “Or why your grin looks kinda creepy to me?” Thaddeus chipped in, earning a glare from me. “What? I’m just saying, it actually looks creepy” He said, raising his hands in surrender. Zara shook her head at him, feeling he could be hopeless at times. “Forget him, tell me why you’re in such a good mood?” Zara offered

Isolde, scanning the runes, mused, "This one radiates anger. So, to counter it, we'll need..." "Calm," Liora finished for her, closing her eyes and murmuring a spell of serenity. The rune reacted, shimmering and then fading. Elysia darted forward, pointing at a rune pulsing with a haunting blue hue. "This one... It's sorrow." Niamh stepped forward, her voice filled with determination. "Then we combat it with joy." Conjuring a series of light orbs that danced and twinkled, she directed them toward the sorrowful rune, which reacted by glowing warmly and dissipating.

I, on the other hand, would walk toward the light and live life like I wanted. I rolled down the window, and winds came flowing in with the scent of flora. They also took away the last strand of Jackie's stench. That was the best ending ever.

Katie giggled at the phrase, as she did almost every time. Glee saw them out, clicking on the light so they wouldn’t trip in the darkness. The air had turned damp, and the encroaching shadows chilly after the warmth of day. A gigantic black moth flitted around the burning porch light. “See you dark and early!” Glee called after them with a pleasant wave. They both waved back. Glee Deadmond glanced perplexed for a moment at the peculiar black moth before closing her front door and shutting the light off several seconds later.

My heart was racing frantically—it felt as if you could physically see my heart popping out of my chest as they did in cartoons. Zac's grin grew smug and amused. He was enjoying seeing me literally speechless. "Not going to tell me it's morally wrong anymore, Bloom?" His voice was low and deep. My stomach swirled. I blinked. My mouth fell agape, my shallow breaths coming out shaky. Holy hell, he is a beautiful specimen. Zac just looked at me, no smirk or grin anymore. His eyes were soft, but intent. His face straight. It felt like he were reading my brain as our gazes remained locked. He had fallen just as dazed as I was.
