It had been about an hour since Adam had finished watching Lord of the Rings, and here I was, ensnared in a labyrinth of theories about how Middle-earth worked. "That's what I'm saying, man! “You think you’re the only one?” “You wound me, Delia,” Gray chuckles. She slaps his arm playfully, letting him know it's time to get serious. He straightens up, as all signs of amusement snap from his face in a split second and holds still while she goes to work on the chain in his hands. She places both of her hands a few inches above the metal and whispers some incantation until a low blue glow can be seen from underneath her palms. When the glow fades she moves her warm copper brown hands and sighs.

The others are behind them as well in the shape of Garth and Lard. “We will take it from here…” The deckhand’s voice trails off. The goblin tries to get free which makes the navigator mad. Instead of snapping and smashing his head into the ground, she instead uses her hand and one of her extra limbs to swing him over to the others, rolling him over and placing him at the mercy of her crew. The goblins slowly all started walking forwards, as if they were waiting for some kind of command or signal allowing them to charge forwards. Noah was not waiting for them though. Quickly he, using his magic conjured multiple spikes of earth up in front of himself. They all stood there hovering, the goblins who were at the front had seen this and stopped, but the ones behind who could not see only carried on walking forwards and this all lead to the wave of goblins to continue to advance.

The posture and aura were overwhelming to be called buffs in battles. They know one thing for sure. This goblin was a veteran fighter. And a very strong one at that. Several explosions appeared in the middle of the battlefield. The ground shook a little. The Kobolds and Orcs were shocked. They did not understand how a fireball had suddenly appeared out of nowhere. The fireballs weren't that powerful but with so many fireballs, they could threaten their lives.

Moka explained in her nasal voice. That was another thing Germaine noticed. Where Zar's voice was smooth and normal, the other goblins had nasal voices, as if they had something stuck inside their nostrils. The male goblin was hairy with overgrown beards decorated with beads, bones, and teeth. Both male and female were short, with bodies that rose not taller than her waist and wrinkled skin like it wanted to belong on a taller person but had to make do. Yet, what they lacked in height, they made up for in strength.

The second goon says and I see his hands lighting up in a purple glow. I hear Maeve digging around in her bag a moment before something whizzes past my hip, slamming onto the ground at their feet. Instantly, a light flashes. I look at the goons who looked locked in the moment. “Let’s go.” Maeve says behind me. “What did you do?” I say, not moving, but looking at her behind me. “Stunning spell. It only lasts for 15 minutes, so we have to hurry.” I turn back and look at the goons. “Can they hear me?” I ask her.

The one in front bore tusks curved like sabers. “It’s been a while this happened,” the lead goblin said, licking his lips. “But lunch came to us.” “I’m not getting eaten today.” Aeron said as he tried to shift. Nothing happened. He tried again but with the same results. He looked to Caelum. “Why can’t I shift?” The goblin chuckled. “Because what you ate was laced with wyvern root. It suppresses magical essence. You’re helpless.” The goblins laughed.
