Not pity. Only emptiness.

One second. Two seconds.ten seconds. Thirty seconds. One minute. It took one plus minute for Justin to process the new Information Fed to him. His mind was shutting down involuntarily like a computer that has been invaded by a virus. Like,was life playing a joke on him? He was sincerely happy that he was no royal but he knew what it meant to be One. How could he be happy with his woman miraculously turning out to be one. His work life was already dramatic, he didn't need drama in his real life.

I whisper. "You are no god. Just a self-obsessed, obnoxious, unworthy, mortal man who called himself a god,” He speaks and it doesn’t take me long to realize that he is repeating my words from that night. There are these unknown guilt and pain in his eyes. Words won’t be able to capture them. “Guess you were right,” He adds. My chest weights down with my own words coming out of his mouth. “I... -”

“Breath. Don’t let them bait you into sounding unhinged. You’re not the prophet. You’re the person who lived through the trial run.” “Comforting,” I said. “I’m serious,” she said. “Godmode already sounds like a manifesto on legs. If you meet it at that frequency, they’ll write you off as dueling gods. You need to sound… boring.” “Boring,” I repeated. “Human,” she corrected. “Tired. Clear. Like someone who’s seen too much and still chooses the mess.” She squeezed my shoulder. “I’ll be right off‑camera,” she said. “Try not to stroke out.”

After a long moment, I spoke again. "I should feel something. Relief. Satisfaction. Even sadness. But I don't. I just feel—" I searched for the word. "Empty." "That's not nothing." "No?" "No." He turned to look at me. "Empty means you've cleared out everything that was filling the space. The fear. The anger. The hope. Now you get to choose what comes next." I stared at him. "You always know what to say." "I don't. I just say what I think. You decide what it means."

I was constantly wondering, where to next, what to do to make things right. ‘…but still, why do I feel empty every day. Like I have no purpose, and the only thing that can make me feel needed, and important in the world is missing, and not this feeling of emptiness? The bible says “God allows a situation to prolong because it' a way to strengthen us” he wants us to remember him, to pray to him’ I shook my head hating the thought. It was true but I didn’t want to hear it at that time.

Right now, I'm empty. Why are these things happening to me? I am really a pathetic person.
